is it true that blanking off the dump valve does damage to the turbo?

The Pipe I'm referring to is the return pipe - the DV bolts over (with an adapter) the intercooler, so you're still venting, and hence stopping potential turbo stall, which is what could damage the turbo.... I think!

i have a baily dv purley for the sound, my scoob is standard 280 bhp import. the only mods are k&n panal filter & a ss 3ins exhaust, im not looking for big power as the car is fast enough 4 me, i havent fitted the dv yet as ive heard it can cause running probs unless you get it mapped is this right???

I know the DV and where the plate goes. Is it just a matter of putting the bolt in the tiny pipe that comes off it??

ive had bailey dv for 6months now am taking it off 2mo and going oem as it is very quite and have had engine probs ie fueling and boost isnt right if i was you id stick to oem unless you want probs later on
