Buy any you like SO LONG AS YOU STICK WITH A RECIRCULATING TYPE.

Otherwise, look for engine problems and poor running.

Exactly what I was going to post. Nothing wrong with the standard item. It is designed for use with the car and won't cause any fuelling issues.

I'd probably agree with that if you've tuned the **** out of your engine but if its bog standard like mine it hasnt caused any problems.

I had one on for over a year without the slightest malfunction!!

you could always get one of these : Saber-EDV Dump Valve Simulator V2 (Turbo's Not Required), RTecShop.com

definatly no damage to the turbo, whooshing sound and after the novelty value wears off just take it off

How do people live with that noise? and does anyone have a link for a vid where the dv gets muck in it and starts mooing?

When you start to up the boost the standard DVs start to leak as the spring is quite weak (you can push it in with your finger). Unless you're going big power, then think you should stick with a recirculating DV - and Forge are recommended by BR Develpments and RCM IIRC (I've got one - on BRD's advice). Used to have an HKS SSQV, and liked the whoosh on partial lift off, but with an induction kit you can hear the re-cric DV ping/chirp quite loudly in any event. Didn't have any probs with the HKS - but was running standard power at that time, and was told they can cause probs with idle and poor running - and leak under high boost.

I haven't actually done it yet.

I got the blanking plate from a SN member (easyscoob). It's just machine aluminium.

I don't have any bungs so i didn't do it. If someone can give more info about what is needed for the bungs, i may do it this w/end.

When I bought my car it already had an HKS SSQV on it - with a home made bung - it goes on the fat pipe which is currently comnnected to the OE DV - from memory it was a bit of 1.5 or 2 inch diameter steel round pipe which had been cut, and then had loads of weld/bashed over the end so it was sealed. It was held in the pipe by a VERY heavy duty pipe clamp/spring.
