CCTV footage of Rangers fans....

This is 110% my problem with Celtic and Rangers. A bit of friendly club vs club, city vs city or even country vs country rivalry is fine if it's all in good spirits. I simply cannot stand that religion and creed is, as always, introduced until it becomes the dominant factor. This whole planet would be soooooooooooooooo much better off without any system of religion or beliefs. Pretty much every singles, if not every single, conflict in world history is as a direct or indirect results of different religious views?!!!
What place is there for it in football? What happened to just supporting the local team in the city you grew up in?

Your "I hate Rangers...blah...blah...blah... tirade seemed rather one sided"
Apologies if that was misinterpreted

Rangers and Celtic wanted to join the English PL for the greater competition that would allow them to compete better in Europe.

BTW - it was only Rangers and Celtic who had considered the idea of an approach to play in the premiership - not the whole league.

Calm down, calm down, it's only a game
Perhaps one of the coppers said that to the Rangers fans and they got a tiny bit upset?
Some people take a sport far, far, far too seriously, and I think this is an example of that. Yes, there will be a hardcore of people who claim to love the game/team, but for them it's just an excuse to go and cave in a few heads, for the rest though, I really don't "get" the whole hatred of another team and their fans. Perhaps it's because I'm not "into" football and never have been.
I recall being at a friends place when his team (Spurs) were playing and losing and this chappy started crying, this was just a normal game, wasn't a cup final or anything like that. I was surprise and thought something else must be up, but no, it was just due to his team losing a game. I'm probably a heathen as I don't get why a loss would be such a bad thing.

But...hang on...the last time I looked Rangers club colours were red, white and blue.
Kenny, you asked in what regard was your post one sided.
What part of:
"Animals. Every single one of them. I hate rangers, I hate their city, I hate their club, I hate their fans, I hate their beliefs. I hate everything about them."
Was a balanced commentary on the problems of sectarianism in Glasgow?

You didn't correct any stats. You gave your own opinion (which was incorrect), and then go on to discuss "rumbles" between two English clubs in a manner that suggests that football related violence is all good stuff, having slated the Scots for what happened in Manchester
Lets be honest here, you are just a bigot - its nothing to do with the violence.

corrected, you cant compare scot national football riots against english when scotland are only there, well, yea and england are there Most of the time, totally wrong.

Celtic fans, yes. Hearts and Hibs are nowhere near as bad! There is a very small group of nutcase chavs in Section N at Tynecastle who share similar bigoted views but we are talking about a hundred guys at most and they are hated/feared by the 99% of the hearts population that, until recently (recently being, until rominov wrecked the club), enjoyed watching their team knock a ball about with no regard for issues out with the sport of football.
Hibs are pretty much the same; just last week my bro and I sat in the Pavillion - a hibs pub - having a few drinks chatting to the guys at the table next to us. It was a full 30 minutes of football chat before the question of, "who do you support" was raised. They were die hard hibs fans and after 30 seconds of friendly ribbing we continued with our pints and chatted about the shocking state of the SPL and the dominance of the old firm. No hatred, no hard feelings and certainly no racism, bigotry or religion of any kind - exactly the way it should be.
I've got a lot of rangers fan friends and most of them are fine. However, even the nicer ones say things I simply can't believe when you get a few drinks in them and get them riled up about football.

Religion has a lot to answer for, and why take what happened thousands of years ago and is probably all hear say to a football match.
No excuse for that behaviour in Manchester!!

What good would 30,000 Englishmen do against 150,000 pissed up Jocks
Scots football fans are relatively well behaved, unlike that of English fans. I dont need to remind you of the last 2 world cups
This CCTV was only a few hundred, there were over 100k in Manchester so a little pocket.

Look at club level then. Look at teams in Europe. Look at the national sides.
On every count, English fans have a worse record.
Keep digging

Dirty *******s the lot of them, regardless of where they were from that behaviour should not be tolerated - the poor copper that got jumped on was just a normal bloke, may even have been one of my mates.
For these idiots to be invited to Manchester and then behave like that shows exactly what they think of a great city
Typical UK football "supporter" behaviour though I guess.

I believe its had a negative impact for the Man Utd fans that are staying in Manchester next week for their game against Chelsea.
There will be no fan zones set up now, so the behaviour last night has spoiled that for next week.
