Nope I haven't "slated" any of those except Gears of War (which I found a bit rubbish to be honest).

Glad it's not just me; I just can't get on with that game!

Forza 2 cracked the "feels right" angle. That is to say, it doesn't matter if something is not entirely realistic, so long as it feel right. Take Nurburgring for example. The Forza rendition of it is far less accurate than GT4, the corners are less harsh than the are in rela life, its not nearly as bumpy. the straights are longer etc.
GT4 on the other hand goes for accuracy.

But does than make the GT4 eperience better?

Not necessarily.

Take football games. In FIFA/PES etc, your player will be able to run the length of the pitch in about 5 seconds.

This is much much too fast for real life, but because it "feels" right, you accept it.

Forza 2 is a stunning game. Absolutely stunning. Why? because they have concentrated on giving an accesible, technical, fun simulation without going to the sometimes too harsh extents of GT.

Don't get me wrong, GT with a wheel is without equal. But, Forza 2, on a sofa, with a pad is also without equal.
Spot on, I don't think they could be summed up any better than that

Not read all this because to be honest im sick of the xbox v PS3 thing.

In my own opinion having got both consoles the 360 wins hands down, infact im just about to trade in or sell my PS3 for another 360!

erm i beg to differ. a dedicated blu-ray player e.g samsung, sony, panasonic et al will produce a far better picture on plasma or lcd at a cheaper price than the PS3

Ehhh You obviously live on the moon Read any Hi Fi /HC forum and the PS3 stands head and shoulders above any standalone and for a far cheaper price.

Care to show me were you got your information ? I would love an excuse to buy a Blu Ray standalone giving me a better PQ than the PS3 at a cheaper price point.

And yes you do need a amp to handle the audio ...just like you would need one for a standalone

Ubisoft is being very cloak and dagger about the status of Splinter Cell Conviction after its no-show at Ubidays. The publisher tells CVG that the time frame for Conviction is this fiscal year, which would be sometime before April '09; meanwhile, Ubisoft tells Eurogamer that the team is currently "polishing" the title, but wouldn't give a time frame for any further Conviction information.

Ubisoft maintains that rumors of Conviction's delay until late 2009, or possibly 2010, are purely speculative. The company wouldn't elaborate, but did say that Splinter Cell is one of its major IPs and it won't release it until its perfect ... and "it's not yet perfect."

Default Xbox 360 all the way

I have both and I can say 360 wins hands down! I only use my PS3 to play blu ray movies thats it.

I bought the PS3 when prologue came out thinking it would be great but it's nothing special got to the s class and gave up got very boring!

360 has Forza, PGR, Test drive, and so on which are all great! I have ended up buying GRID on PS3 just so I use the PS3 more.

I dont like the triggers on the PS3 pad the travel is not enough and they are in the wrong place it hurts your fingers after a while!

Plus you got to ask yourself where are the good games I laughed my head off when Haze got slated that was meant to be one of the PS3 good games of the year!

MGS4 is getting good reviews but I played the beta test online and was not impressed with the graphics or gameplay at all!

So it all boils down to blu ray if you want to play blue ray disks buy a PS3 if you want to play good games buy a 360!
