It was really gross. Stoked with the results though and its good to be driving something with a more tied down feel again

Have just finally finished reading your epic project!!! (2.5 hours!)
My hat is off too you! an amazing build and an inspiration for other fellow wagon owner!

one quick ? what top spoiler do you have on the boot? really like the de-spoilered wagon look and the black accent bonnet and roof.

much respect ;-)

Come on Ian!! Where's the progress!!

Seriously though, hope you're well. Are you hoping to get much done over the Xmas break or is it on hold until next spring?

Yep, tis bloody cold, glad I do not work outside!!

Any idea on when the engine may be ready to drop in?

No plans as such for mine, I'm hoping that game is all behind me and can hit the tracks.

Thats said, the temptation is there to fit a bigger turbo and/or fit one of the safety devices multi point cages as the car moves into an even more track bias setup.

not sure if I mentioned this earlier or not but when Zak stripped the MY05 JDM heads I was going to use he found cracks around the plug holes, not an uncommon problem but I've decided to use my WR1 heads instead as they are immaculate. I need to get them matched to the 2.5 bore though...happily Zak has been in touch with a very well known brand who are branching out into other marques...don't want to say who they are yet until we are happy with what they propose though. We are going to visit them and have a chat early next year.

Then its just rebuild time, I'm actually going to focus on this so it will be running for spring...be good to have a tear up on track with you

Well known brand... intriguing! Good luck with that venture, always good to see a different approach!

Indeed it would! Although you would have to slow down to allow me to keep up!

Just finished reading all 28 pages, top thread

Got a feeling this is going to cost me

Odd question: what's the old building in the background of the Focus photo's?

And as Sy runs a Lateral ic/rad combi which fits behind an uncut GL front bumper...my HKS would dangle underneath and look naff
