EA used to really bug me, all their sports titles seemed to be same game with just the year updated and the players altered to their correct teams, but now it seems they're taking an approach of signing good, talented dev studio like Criterion.
But why oh why did they close down their Chicago studio? FN Round 3 was a terrific game, do they just want to keep the devs working on their crap (cash cow madden) titles or something?

Internally develop sequels to established franchises.
Run them into the ground.
Buy a new studio that has just put out a game that looks like it'll turn into an established franchise.
Run them into the ground.
and so on
There are a few of their internal studios that do ok after being bought...
Cheers

There business model is currently pants though - they used to be No.1 publisher by a country mile but now they've been overtaken by Activision & Ubisoft are breathing down their necks...

i,m not interested in BR as a delivery medium for gaming, New consoles will be along that will offer BR or whatever tech advancement is happening in 5 or 6 years time.
I would however like a BR player as an add on so i could at least watch BR movies, without having to shell out for another main box that sits under the tv
mart
Madden 06/07/08 on the wall, all the same but each one is a different colour
it made me chuckle
it would be a "we dont want a BR player addon, but you can now stream content from any dvd type drive on your main pc" ?
that might not work for you mind, given your previous history for breaking your streaming connection every few weeks

Is it possible to stream 1080p & HD audio to the 360? I was under the impression that the hd dvd drive couldnt do as USB didn't have the bandwidth...

Isn't it just the back USB that's USB 2.0 though? The one's on the front are only 1.1.
The data transfer kit makes a point of only using the USB socket on the rear when upgrading your HDD.
I think 2.0 is capable of doing it - only thing is the 360's add-on doesnt support it yet - the update is due soon, a lot of website's have been taking the pi55 as MS have been making a song & dance about the impending firmware update...
