Well done on the website, looks brilliant!!! I'll register later on.

Just been looking at the petitions website, has anyone noticed that only 4000 odd people have signed it???

There are almost 80,000 members on this forum!!! If even half of us all signed it, it may actually have some impact, but if half of every car club/forum/concerned driver actually signed it, then it may well have a large enough number of signatures to make the thieving PM actually take a look at it!!

Can't believe the number of signatures of people concerned about all this cr4p is so low

Official Fuel And Tax Protest
Great website mate good work.

Only suggestion I have is it should be more specific about the tax on fuel on the front page as that affects everone directly where as car Tax so to speak will only really hurt performance car and 4x4 drivers directly.

And it should also be very clear what to do next ie vote here in big flashing red letters etc etc

top work chief
i will second PANTSUk as the real issue is cost of fuel maybe needs to be a bit more focused on that issue as it hits eveyone in the pocket were as the road tax i agree is a pi$$ take but £1.17 a litre is in a different league.

Sorry to say this, but if you cant afford the running costs then you shouldnt have the car, simple as that.
Fuel prices may be high (extorsionately) but protests will only increase prices further (if you remember back to 2000 with the last ones, prices hit 110per ltr when it became available).

So if it was 3 quid a litre you'd be quite happy to pay that?

Have you heard yoruself, it just doesn't affect performance cars though does it? It effects everyone, deliveries, taxi's, cost of food in supermarkets.

You wont be able to buy a performance car in this country in a few years as sales will plummit and manufacturers simply will not import them into this country!

thing is some people wont be bothered especially if you are rolling in it and if you are then fair play, but is it so wrong that i want to be able to drive a nice car without being screwed over by this current goverment.

Next thing you'll tell me Alistair Darling only has my best interests at heart!

It's people like yourself who roll over every time this government puts another stealth tax, or stupid PC regulation in place that have allowed this country to go to the wall. It's time to take it back into the land of common sense!

Not all of us are rolling in cash. If you are, then kindly spare us your comments on how you can afford these rises! The majority of people aren't rolling in it, and these rises can mean the difference between owning a Scooby and owning a Fiesta.

Chief - great work on the website, keep up the good work!
Have you considered contacting some of the suppliers like Scoobyworld, Scoobybits etc, and ask them to post links supporting this on their sites?

Great comment

It's not just performance cars it's all cars and as said if you have a shed load of money good luck to you but the rest of us who have to drive to work for example don't want to be raped for doing so.

As regards the protests putting the price up that is a load of cobblers. Yes when there was a shortage due to the depots being blocked (which is not what's being suggested here by the way) there was a very tempory rise by some garages cashing in but this went back down and what did happen is the government didn't put up the tax as it had intended to do so that year !!!

Good idea get them involved cos after all it will effect them also because if people stop using there pride and joy or even get rid or just lock them away for a sunny day(and theres not many of them in this country)then im sure it will effect them in some way, loss of buisness etc well thats what i think anyway

just went onto the protest list on the web page and i may be being stupid but people cant add thier name to the list or i may have missed something as
there is still only 38 names which is what you had when you put it up. can they add onto it as people have stopped adding it on here by the looks of things.

ok forget that last bit just worked it out.

just an idea but to do it you hav eto go to the disscusion section which is all fine, but if you coul di think it would be an idea to put that up at the top under the sub headings or something and make it stand out, also when i first looked i thought you would fill your name on the list that is there, maqybe a bit of text is needed to explain PLEASE GO TO DISSCUSSION TO ADD NAME ETCTHEN IT WILL BE [THEN I WILL POST IT ON THE LIST) ETC ETC just a thought and by no means do i mean to tell you what to do, so no offense

hope that all makes sense

Idea seconded. Also, why not add the discussion forum as a tab at the top.
Personally I missed it on my first look even though it was in a yellow box!
Keep up the good work fella!

As ive stated, if you cant afford it, dont run one.
