as some of you may have seen there was a thread started not so long ago about the rising prices of tax and fuel, and the backdated tax band which is out of order, regardless of how much you do or don't earn, why should you have to be bullied by the government because they know knowone will stop them.

Why would the government pay any attention to us? We drive gas guzzlers in their eyes, the lovely exhaust note doesnt help.

Think of how the general public would view it? It would be like a load of Mums in Range Rovers protesting against the 4x4 tax hike, if anything they be a target for the green brigade to egg.

Not trying to be negative here but I dont see how a load of impreza's is gonna make any difference.

i dont think it really matters what car or cars attend be it a fleet of imprezas or a fleet of skodas, it is more the point of making a stand to prove our point.

to be fair it might be better if it was a mix of cars in the long run shows it is not subaru boy racer punks tw@ts etc etc which will more likely happen if we turned up in a fleet of 100 impreza's but insted just a group of people with the same common interest.

I was thinking maybe having a seperate forum on a website that i could do, and post it on all the motoring forums including trucking forums, courier forums etc. lets get everyone on board!!!

if anyone can help with a forum i can and will do a website if i get enough interest!

Also i think we need to target the main roads in to london not just the M25, But the M1, M4, M11, M20, M23, M40

we would need say 6 cars on each stretch on each side, so it would be a 2 row hold up to start. so no way of being pushed/road raged into a ditch (lol)

in total we would need 84ish cars to get this going

that should bring most major traffic going in and out of london to a halt, i now there are others a few busy A roads but we cant do it all

any opinions

silly as this sounds but if it gets to big it might get leaked out b4 it happens so it would not cause as much of a headache, if it were kept within a few forums to get enough numbers then made public it may come as more of a shock.

and be faced for a hell of alot of bad press though! to do with emergancy services not getting to burning buildings, people trapped in cars etc etc it will cause a few major events in other peoples lives other than not being able to get to work.

yeah we would need to some how sort it out so we can be civil but forcefull, i don't want to be responsible for any thing bad, but i do want to prove a point and show we mean business!

chief, i cant help with making a website or forum but i can help by telling a few mates who are members of ford forums, and possibly start something on piston heads??

I do think as the numbers rise across all forums the powers that be will become aware and personally I don't think that is a bad thing as I wouldn't want little johnny not getting his replacement kidney on my concience !!

In fact it should be an across the board public protest and should go past (if you can get close) the houses of parliment !!!

I also think we should keep comments like this one on the other thread or this 1 will become full of comments rather than a growing list of supporters !!!
