just as a bit of a comparison from august 2008 trucking international magazine

cost of diesel price per litre

austria = 104.3
belgium = 111.4
czech rep = 103.5
denmark = 121.1
france = 107.2
germany = 112.7
greece = 101.5
holland = 114.3
hungary = 102.3
ireland = 105.3
italy = 120.8
poland = 102.4
portugal = 110.5
spain = 99.02
rip off uk = 124.2

4.546 litres to the gallon 15p average higher cost per liter than most major european countries = 69p per gallon more expensive or against spain = £1.13 per gallon more and they were protesting???

I've just sent a communication to the Licensed Taxi Drivers Association (or LTDA) after seeing them mentioned in a Beeb article today; have said it's short notice but if anyone wants to attend they'd be welcomed with open arms.

The list is looking good. If even half the people on there turn up it should be a good presence.

Well, tomorrow is the day. lets hope we do get the best turn out of all protests this year.

will be in a transit van, and will be adding text and posters to the sides etc.

Again, a massive thanks to the Chief, and I totally second the sentiment from darms - 300 of you, and not even 1 in 3 turn up? WHY PUT YOUR NAME DOWN
