I meant used as pure fuel and not "additive"... Everything I`ve read about meth, and people who use it, says it lowers IDC dramatically because you have extra fuel with the petrol. Methanol is a "high-octane" fuel which is more knock resistant.

You need to remember that the AFR for methanol and petrol are very different. At lambda = 1.0, AFR of Petrol is 14.7:1 and methanol is 6.4:1 ... therefore the way I see it, you would need to flow more of your petrol methanol mix to hit the target AFR's in your fuel map.
