Default Afterburner de-cat pipes

Hi there,
I have a UK 95 turbo Wagon which is standard apart from a bigger exhaust (was already on the car so don't know what it is, but it sounds nice) and a JR panel filter. I really don't want to do much to the car due to it's high mileage, 155k, but have been looking at Afterburner de-cat pipes and am very interested.
Could someone please advise me on a few points?

I'm assuming the downpipe is required alongside the center section to really see any improvement?

I'm aware that the center section will need to be swapped back to the original for MOT's, but will the downpipe have to be as well?

My car sounds nice, but not stupidly loud. Do I run the risk of making it too loud?

Will I notice much difference performance wise?

I'm pretty sure I'm capable of swapping the center section myself, is the down pipe much more demanding?

the downpipe will be the one that makes you see the difference, replacing the centre section will not make that much difference, but you should get the whole thing mapped in once done to make even more benefit of it, it will be noisier than what you have at the moment, the afterburner is reknowned as one of the loudest, ive just bought one for this reason.

the fitting of the downpipe as i understand can be difficult, depending on how the nuts and bolts from turbo to downpipe come off, can be a real pain and if they sheer off then they need drilling out, ballache all round.

Thanks for the responses so far!

Sounds like the best thing to do would be to get a specialist to do the initial install and then just swap the center section over myself for MOT's.

Scoobyworld the best place to purchase the pipes yeah?
