been keeping tabs on this thread over the days.
would be interesting if i could put some of the commission stuff i do into tattoo design. done a few bits in the past, but a big custom piece would be brilliant.
micheal, keep us upto date on this, very interested after the chat we had a couple months back mate

After much searching around for an accurate translation, I remembered while having physio today, and having my back cracked, that my physiotherapists wife is Japanese lol
So he is taking the design home and getting her to check and correct it for me
Duh, how could I forget that.

Here goes, phase one of the new tattoo is done, and we have all the line work
3.5 hours of line work, but worth every second. No breaks lol.
Finished up at 9pm tonight.
Couple of weeks now and the colour can start, so here are the pics

Each to their own but I don't get the tat thing. If it's a body art thing I'd rather get the body in shape than cover it with a daft picture. Still I can appreciate the art and work that's gone into that and if you're happy with it then great stuff

The whole experience of having a decent piece done it something to remember in itself, let alone the time, person or moment you are capturing

Body in shape and tattoo's are 2 totally different things really. Training is not really personal expression, where as something like a tattoo is, but as you say, only to some

totally agree. the finished article is only part of the experience. actually having the work done is also just as important as the finished article.
michael, your legs gonna be sore this morning
i remember the oriental dragon i had on my leg from ankle to knee cap.
3 sessions of over 3 hours each. that ached and wearing socks was uncomfortable for weeks

Sleeping was interesting, but no bleeds overnight, and all looking goooood
Got to clean it up in a bit and then get a clearer picture of it.
Looking forward to the colouring in, but at least that can be paced. With it being 120-140 mile round trip though, I think I will try and get it over with in 3 sessions.
Overall, im delighted with the result though, just wish it was not so addictive. lol

When I got there, everyone working there just kept saying the same thing... "thats a big tattoo"
So I feel better for getting through it. As soon as the needle touched my skin, I just thought, here we go. lol
Rest assured the WIP pics will keep coming. SO excited about colours now but sadly already planning the continuation and my other leg!

Might have a surf dude design on the other leg, then I can go skinny dipping without getting nicked lol.
Regardless of how long it takes to heal, once it has, it starts all over again with the colouring lol

Looking better now that the redness has died down, and the scabbing is starting to clear up a little.
No sticking to clothes or bedding last night, bonus.
Cant wait for the scabbing to be gone now, patience, patience lol
