I'm getting there with my plans for the next one - just not 100% sure on location yet, probably left shoulder/pec area first and then get something to balance that on the other side.
Decisions ...decisions.....

lol I know what you mean mate. Been a few years since I have had any ink. Last bit was quite a chunky piece at the bottom of my back.
Im hoping within the first 5-10 mins I will be able to find my zone again.
If not I will just bang my elbow, that should take the pain away

The main piece is a motto of mine, the rest, dates.
Wont be any colour going on the drawing though, the colour will only happen on my skin, once decided what colours I want of course. Certain things need to be certain colours, the rest is open to discussion

Very different mate, im liking that
Trying to make mine a little "different" too, just so it is my own and not just slightly adapted for me, if that makes sense.
hence I am being fussy and going through it to change tiny bits

I'm off to LA in July and purely by chance my hotel is about 15mins away from High Voltage or as its also known LA Ink. So it would be rude not to pay a visit and try to get some work done especially as it is all done on a walk in basis. I am looking to get a portrait done by Kat of my mother who died when I was 12 so fingers crossed I can get in.
As long as they arent filming then walk up is best- but be prepared for long lines.
Line out the door at the miami and LA ink ones early on a normal day whenever I have been past either....

there are loads of amazing artists out there, I'd steer clear of any of the TV places, decide what you want and then research artists that excel at that style. Just take your time, its difficult to change a big piece and small ones ain't worth **** IMO

each to their own, but how do you decide on something you'll be happy with forever ??
who has the sames clothes, haircut or car they had 5 years ago for example ????
the main problem with t's, is 90 odd% do look rubbish, or they are wrapped across some fat bird/bloke-- you rarely see them on some finely honed body.

Its not about how it looks to other people for me, but what it represents. Personally I dont see an image and think, oooh thats nice.. in the same way I do with clothes.
For me its a representation of a memory or moment in my life that I want to carry with me, respect and remember forever, and show to the people closest to me, what that memory means to me.
Same as a wedding ring, but different lol

[QUOTE=trails;7767241]you can't, we all change as individuals so our taste changes...and there is nothing like experience to make you look at things from a different perspective. Coupled with the fact that its not about what other people like\think its about what you want to do.

actually quite like the colouring of that one to be fair. the usual greeny/grey is rather dull.
love the "boys in prison" remark !!!!!
