Quick question for a friend. Can anyone recommend a GOOD artist in Droitwich or that sort of area?

I think it will end up bring a tightly pulled mask, allowing contours but making a clearly defined line between the face and the mask.

Up to date pics .....

Sorry about the image size
looking good!

I'm still playing about with ideas for my next one.

Cheers, its looking a lot more settled now, a week and a bit later. Not quite as dark, but still a great contrast

Yeah they do tend to dull a bit after they have healed.

I still need to find some inspiration for mine. I wanted to get a St Christopher, as my family are from all over the place, I'm always travelling. But I think it's a bit masculine, so i'm not sure.

Im sure you can find the right effect if you search about.
Yeah the shading needed to dull a bit, looks a bit over powering otherwise. Matches now

What sort of look pistols are you looking for?
There are so many styles out there its unreal, but size is going to play a big part. Im sure an artist could mesh a few pieces together for you

Just talking to a friend about pieces for her and her husband. Why do I think of all the good ideas for other people lol

A few ideas, obviously depends on wether you want colour or black and grey.

Get a few images or just see the artist and ask him to do you a design, in my experience I told my tattooist the basic theme of what I wanted and let him draw up his own idea.

Aaron

Looking good there Snazy, when is the next session? I'm looking for idea's myself at the moment now it's the covering up part of the year

I reckon St Christopher in a nice soft black and grey would look fine, colour and bold might go a bit the wrong way.

Cheers Aaron, next session is Nov 20th, should be second to last session, cant wait, im getting impatient now lol.
I have the next few pieces in mind, just a matter of finding the time, and getting my thigh finished first. Prob got about 20 hours left on that yet lol

Thanks for that. I would usually go black and grey, but I think a piece like this would be much better in colour.
I found one a few years back, but rather than being the traditional St Chtistopher, it was quite different. It was a tapistry and I fell in love with it. I'm going to google it, to see if I can find it.

Spike is the man I will get to do it, he's superb.

Found it!

I thought it would translate quite well into a tattoo, and I really like how it is different to the more 'real' looking images.

My worry about that is, it would translate to quite a blocky looking piece unless you had gradual shading and colouring on it.

Would make a nice smaller piece though. Could work in the right artists hands

Oh I totally agree, it would need a complete re sketch rather than scan and size. I'd have it on my side between hip/underarm.

I'm not at the point of taking it to my lady artist yet.. I need to decide what type of pistol/handgun I want as I like guns, or if I want shotguns, or if I want a new skool style or as realistic as possible. They're going to span pretty much shoulder to shoulder so a fair old size. Gotta make sure I get it right

I change my mind on this daily, which is why its taking me so long

In theory, I want something like this, but with the barrels pointing up and the angle shallower ...

I work away from home but fingers crossed I'll be able to get my Vargas / sailor jerry-esque pin up girl done on my back, my very own lady luck at Christmas!

Well get deciding then. Just dont expect to find the perfect design online. And if you do, dont use it! lol
Get some gun pics, get them drawn up and go from there.

I'm not daft enough to use a design off the internet, but i do do ALOT of research and idea gathering before I make the trip to the studio, makes everyones bit easier

I've got a pair of dice on my leg, some writing on the bottom of my spine, a swallow on each shoulder blade (one red one blue), Lady Luck in a retro font with some stars at the bottom of my neck and my husbands initial on my wrist.

If it wasn't for work, I'd have had my back piece finished by now!

I have 21 piercings too

I've got a Dove on one shoulder and a Rose on the other.
Been fancying a butterfly at the bottom of my back, but it's a bit boney there and would sting a bit
