Ghost image

Once you have ghosted onto the second disk try setting it a the bbotable in the first machine. If it runs ok there but gives a disk failure error when you put it in the second machine you know it is not the disk that is at fault. You can also try running the original disk from machine 1 in the second machine and see what happens.

Sussed it out now thanks.
When I put the second H/D in the machine I mistakenly put the jumper on cable select???
Put another image on the disk and still the same. I removed the jumper completely and it worked.
All Machines are operational again now thanks.
Oh and you can copy a partition to an image file on another partition. Just done it.
Cheers for all the advise, Phill C

Americian isn't it
Got there in the end, internet cafe was offline for a day, so not to bad. Be much easier next time some **** decides to load viruses and leave ports open Backed up and ready to go, will only take 10 mins to restore O/S instead of 6 hours.
Cheers Phill C
