Many more names, but hey, all in the past eh.

Sad to see one of the finer lads go in such a cruel way

Will always be in my memories of the good old days of Sutton eh. RIP both

Really sorry to hear about your good mate who lost the battle Snazy. I lost my very close friend who had the same type I had but he did not make it either. I found it too difficult to go fishing in my little boat without him.

Your mum did well to endure all the treatment. I hope it has done what it was supposed to and that she is feeling better.

And a kick up the Arris for your sister!

My sisters **** clearly has more shock absorbing qualities than a Volvo! I have honestly given up trying in that area. Its really not worth my mental energy to get wrapped up in all that.

Got my fingers crossed that the results will be good too, but not getting my hopes up too much right now. As I have not good the best of feelings about it tbh.

Will be sure to update the thread when I know more though

Quick update.

Cancer is stable at the moment, condition not progressed any at this time. Which is nice, as mum is seeing another spring, and summer now

Sadly the COPD is playing her up, so she ended up in hospital the other night for a few hours. But in fairness was very good and actually took herself there after the doctor told her to go in. And just text me to say she was going.
Naturally I was straight there

Happy to report she is still enjoying each day though, and is due to see the specialist again at the end of the month. 2 days after my surgery lol... I will make the appointment of course

Very glad to hear it has stabilised Snazy, you need a bit of an easier time yourself too from all those worries and with so little help too. Good luck with your op. Please keep us informed.

Cheers Les, will do mate. Only a couple of weeks to go, and I will shut up a little bit for a little while
Looking forward to being able to do everything I once could again

I forgot to add, my sister is pregnant again, and thought it would be prudent since losing the other baby, that she would only tell a few people. Choosing to tell my mum, who stresses about the easiest of things, and deciding NOT to tell me.

Cheers mate, nice to know she is about for a while yet. Already done better than she was first told, so glad the guesstimates were on the side of caution. And glad she has been like others have posted on here, and hanging in there

You have my sympathy on this one,

i suffer from CTS in both hands, it varies from near on impossible to lift / do stuff (my right hand is tingling as i type)

to days with nothing,

not sure whether getting it done is worth the hassle

awww, great to know she is doing good. I have been itching to ask

My Mum is amazing. She seems to have a new lease of life. Still all clear and kicking her heels like someone half her age. She is looking fantastic too.

Well I have just heard (yesterday) that apparently the Xmas budget needs to be raised by at least another 75p, for a card for mum, and now she is even demanding a birthday card in February. Cheek of it.

Doctors are happy with her left breasticle, with the lump shrinking to almost nothing at this point in time, and the right side has not grown at all since the chemo/radio therapies.

So its good news all round.
She also has something to take her attention away, and to focus on now, in the form of a new grandchild. Sister gave birth a 2.30am yesterday morning. So mum sees hospitals in a positive light at the moment.

On the downside, my sisters family are not talking to me at the moment, so thats put a bit of strain on mum too. Im trying to keep my gob shut though

Thought I would add this little update for those who have followed the drama of all this.

my old man was the same, they call it "old school". he was diagnosed with throat cancer at 71,he got over that a few year later, then he was diagnosed with lung cancer, when he come out the doctors he wanted to go shopping, after just beeing told that. There was only my sister with him and he asked her not to "tell his boys" 5 of us,but how could she not,he did'nt know we knew for months.he refused loads of treatment and had a similiar attitude to your mum mate, what we told him was "think of the grandkids" he soon changed his mind...good luck mate and all the best, hope it turns out to be nothing serious...

Cheers Annie.

Funkii, yup they sure are, just my sister and her boyfriend, oh and her kids. (ho hum)
Following that there was the **** take with the mobile phone thing, which resulted in me telling her daughter off for abusing the phone. Hence she ignores me.
My sister took offence to me telling her off, so got the **** with me, then read my blog where I have been quite honest about my feelings about how she has treated my mum through the whole cancer time.

Her boyfriend then felt I had been unfair, so they are all ignoring me now. Such is life.
Just a shame they are letting their childish behaviour affect the kids too. Im sure once my sister is out of hospital she will realise that having my car too would have been a bonus, and bridges will start to be built.

Person I feel sorry for is my mum though, once again caught in the middle of a very awkward situation. She dont need it.

Cheers mate.
The prognosis aint great, but she has stayed in good spirits, and is fighting on. Just need to convince her to get out and about more now.
She has a freedom pass, not a couped up indoors all day pass, so trying to encourage her to use it.
Sadly she seems to have used the illnesses as an excuse to become a recluse.

Hopefully in time and with encouragement, she will get out a bit more. Remember everyone handles things differently, and she has come on leaps and bounds from how she was initially.

Glad she is fighting this, and hopefully she will for much longer to come.
