LOL @ Andy

Yes, the shell has gone to Eclipse Motor Bodies 'ooop north to have the carbon/kevlar WRC panels 'applied' and then to be painted etc. Meanwhile back down 'sarf' we are building the engine etc.

Is that a really secret code for making the most of not having the bodyshell about, finishing early, going home at a sensible time and putting feet up and possibly having a drink and relaxing ?

Nice looking build, look forward to seeing the pics from her frsh paint job

If you folks do come out to the US I would imagine East Coast venues would be easier however if you do fancy coming out to the West Coast (better weather, beautiful track, etc etc) your more than welcome to use our facilities as a form of base camp.

I believe this car may be heading your way in 2008 at some time.

Nice track you have there, all that run off lets you really attack the corners

GST Motorsports - First in AWD Unlimited

What weight and power is your car Mike ?

She's a little porky as we built her for Endurance racing out here and sort of converted her to Time Attack, last weight with 8 gallons of fuel and no driver was 2660lbs.

We don't make too much HP to be honest, last time on the dyno the car was making 420whp on the GT30r setup and 485whp on the GT35r setup.

Our new dedicated TA car is a much different animal, newer chassis, lighter and better aero.

Mike

A few pics for your viewing...

New scuttle panel assembly..

All interior/metalwork cleaned, rubbed down, and initially primed..

Front end panels lined up..

Aerocatch holes cut out on bonnet..

Boot lid lined up, and modified for aerocatch fittings, and wing fittings..

Front wings....

Because of what these are made of, they were extremely wobbly, so without wanting to add too much weight, we put a quick skim of stopper on them to try and make them look a bit better before the paint is applied..

More to come over the weekend hopefully
