Default FIXED SORTED WORKS AT LAST :)

Downloaded the patched version of CFP, and it still wouldn't allow access to the pc via the xbox, so i set up some supposedly super rules, and it still wouldn't work, so i went to bed

I sat down today and had another go, and strangely enough, it found the pc & the xbox however it saw my media files, it wouldn't play them

I checked again , and the firewall was asking permission for the apps i setup in the rules last night. once i clicked on ok, i can now finally stream audio & video to the xbox from behind the firewall :luxhe llo::luxhe llo::luxhe llo::luxhe llo::luxhe llo::notwo rthy:notwo rthy:notwo rthy

can anyone shed any light on why one of my downloaded music mpegs slows to a halt when streaming, but plays fine on the pc?

the other mpeg plays fine

i'm not to worried, but would like to know in case it happens on other stuff

Possibly the bitrate of the encoding (might be too much for the network)?

Might be something dodgy inside the encoded data then (something that the pc decoder is coping with better than the 360 one).

could be,

Ive just run a movie, but it stopped after about 8 mins, said it had logged me out of live, and then dropped the data stream. i restarted it and it appears fine (just done a quick check, and i am logged out of live) I guess the data stream (wireless) can only handle so much traffic

Just to confirm it wasnt me I stuck the netgear back in the loop today

once again the 360 refused to play ball, despite connecting to it

popped the bebox back on, and it connected straight away.

I may give the NG to my nipper, and see how he gets on

Are you sure you haven't configured something funny on that netgear?

I bet there's a software firewall causing an issue. Disable all firewalls and see how you get on.
