Will CURRYS Come Good??
Showing your age there!!
Just thought - I could put the TV up for a Prize draw on here - £1 a ticket?
Winner gets the TV, I get a replacement for no more than £800, the NSPCC gets the rest ................ we could all be winners here

There has to be a letter before action and I have to have offered the retailer enough chances to settle.
11 weeks of debating - now its down to the last 10 days .... a summons will then be raised.

5,950 views, I think they are different members each time? If so, this bad publicity could have cost CURRYS a huge amount of money.
Assuming only 1,000 people from the 5,950 decide not to shop at CURRYS, DIXONS or PC World ...... and say they may have spent £300 in the stores - thats £300,000 - about £100,000 in profits??
Pretty costly because their Customer Services are amazindly bad. This could do with being posted to them - where's that sad loser a few pages back? Get him to print off the pages following his print-off

genuinely made me weary of them though. never had a problem with comet however...
Ha Ha .... there was a sad loser a few pages back who posted the thread to the big-wigs in the group, wasn't there?? I call him a sad loser because he thought it would sink my case, judging by the ever desperate telephone calls I am getting from CURRYS Support - it has done the complete opposite
I need him to copy the last few pages and report back .....
Where is he? Come back, post the rest ....

sorry, couldnt resist.
can i ask a quick question, and apologies for my ignorance...
youve waited 11 weeks did you say. all this debating etc. whats another 10 days gonna do before court action? im a t a loss on this one - dont get it.
It's good practise to allow the retailer time to fix the situation and you should always issue a 'Letter Before Action'.
I've been to court a few times and know what the judge looks for - he will note that CURRYS offered to take it into their workshops, I need to dispel that as the worthless offer it was and I am home and dry
I have hard evidence what their Engineers said to me while they were in my home and it's not what they put on their report .... when that is presented they are sunk
It costs them money to dispute this claim, each letter needs to be processed and acted upon, engineers need to be sent, time needs to be spent ..... it's all £££££'s to them. They will have to pay for my court case and the expert witness report

Also, maybe the TV is sat in the corner wrapped up awaiting CURRYS to pick it up? I rejected it months ago - its has been available for collection since then.
But they banned me after only 4 for "offending the community" [I didn't know it was so small!!] so I've come back with a new IP address and an extra letter in the user name. Can I add the infractions together for both users names or doesn't that count?
KILL CURRYS!!
Just returned something to EBuyer today.
Not sure what their Customer Service is like, but first signs are good - return the item, get postage paid and replacement item sent .... sounds good. They say they will 'test' the item - I'm not sure how they can do that, but with 552 showing in stock I wouldn't have thought it was worth it.
£6:45 to post it back, mind you!!
CURRYS should take a few tips from other retailers before they go to the wall ...

God knows who test's Ebuyers stuff but everytime I send something back good or bad they test it as faulty

Agreed, this playground of Infractions is IMHO a complete waste of time. The whole point of having a forum is for everyone to say how they feel
I received two infractions for innocent posts and one of those was in the Hutch ffs which after me complaining and appealing etc. were eventually overturned
No wonder the Hutch is dead. It wasnt that long ago when the bulk of the traffic on SN was down to the Muppets. Now the place has as much life as Hendrix
At this rate as long as someone pays a few quid we'll have instant Nukes on demand

Amazing how service has a different meaning depending on which company you go to

Infractions are generally used by those who have no control over their real lives, I find. They are told what to do by others more powerful than them in normal life that they feel inadequate and need to try to dictate elsewhere - they did join Scout Groups to boss the little kiddies about .... but now have moved to Internet Forums
All IMHO of course
Anyway, back to crappy CURRYS - has this thread cost them any business?

We're all aware you are making this thread out for as long as it can run. All part of the appeal I suppose. It will confuse the hell out of anyone trying to read through it for useful info though. You get about one good post per page on average
