No, I don't. Unfortunately, or fortunately which ever way you look at it, every performance car I have owned (not just a scoob) attracts those who wish they had your car and feel the need to prove what they have had to settle with instead against you. Mostly I ignore these people, but sometimes it is fun not to.

I can honestly say that the vast majority of copper S drivers try the same thing on with me. Both male and female drivers. I thought they went quite well so convinced my sister to get one instead of the standard cooper. Wish I hadn't now as those performance figures aren't nearly as good as I thought they were tbh.

I'm not saying it's right but we have all done it and will do it again if someone is really being an ***
Those who say they don't are either lying or should chop in the car for something cheaper to run because, let's be honest, you don't buy a scooby for its economy or slow speed capability.... do you!

Although the Mini's aren't the fastest cars on the road, they really do handle well. When we had our BMW 320 and the engine blew we had a Mini Cabriolet Cooper as a courtesy car - it wasn't that quick, BUT it was absolutely superb to throw around the country lanes, much more so than any other modern car.
It was the closest thing to my 205, which has way too much power and can easily embarass much quicker cars on paper, Scoob included for all those above saying a smaller car shouldn't try it on Provided its dry that is

The other is my missus, lol Always hassling me in hers when she brings it home
The performance figures are good if you ask me, for a factory car, and a small hatch at that.
Driving one always puts a smile on my face, and I would have one as a daily runner anyday
Bubba, spot on mate, seems some feel that way. My answer to it all is just look the other way and let them go
Again, the supercharged version to me is pants, its on or off. The later turbocharged version is much much better.

Your spot on mate this happens all the time. How many times do you pass someone at a cruise only to have them wind up their vectra 1.9tdi and come racing up to you. Once in a while we all have the "red mist" appear and have to make them realise just what happens when a scooby goes flat out

Couldnt agree more.
Happens to me everytime i drive, idiots of all kinds from salesmen in 1.8T A4's to Chav scumbags in 1.2 saxos/clios lol
Generally i ignore them (particually the saxos etc) but if i get a potentially good race i cant help myself
Had a good play with an M3 the other day. I was just sat at a set of lights minding my own business (With two lanes going into one) When a now old shape M3 pulls up next to me to try and beat me off the lights (rather than queing like everyone else) The look on his face was priceless when he couldnt over take........Me first

You mean you have never actually tried driving it!!
Get in it, get out of sight, and give it a good drive, round some challenging roads. Great feedback, great feeling, and nice power delivery.
The smoothness of the car does give the impression of not going fast, thats one thing to look for.

My wife has an 05 Cooper S which was standard for 3 hrs It may not be as fast as a Scoob but handles great and really is a good fun car. A few weeks ago she was doing faster lap times around Goodwood than the Lambo's and Ferrari's just because of it's chuckablity
My mate's demo Cooper S is quite fun too, it's lighter with carbon doors, roof, boot and bonnet, and a few other mods he could surprise a few scoob owners. this is his one :
Cheers for now !

The round about is in Winnersh, Reading and as you say people should que in both the left and right lane (They do some times) but most of the time they just que in the left lane.
So when you pull up and see the left lane full and the right lane empty, mine and the M3 drivers first thought is to pull up in the right lane and beat the first person in the left lane off the lights to go first.
This is what he tried and failed to do.
There was no doubt he was gunning it, as we were level as the two lanes merged (with the right lane merging into the left)
Dont know about the orange paint but that mini sounds impressive.
Although i have to agree with Mozza's comment

Ah, suddenly a roundabout appears. Are there any further complications you wish to add to your story? In any case, I still don't get what you're on about.
BTW, you're not allowed to call other users "*****" on this forum.

How does the fact that the lights go through a round about make any difference?
Sorry but if you find that complicated then there is no hope

I didn't bring up the roundabout, you did. I just assumed it was pertinent to your story. I still can't understand why two lanes would merge into one just before a roundabout. One would have thought that two lanes would have been extremely useful, for anyone turning right, for instance. I think you're going to have to describe the whole road lanes/lights/roundabout scenario in detail, because the whole thing's making my head spin.

This is my third scoob. Its an 07 STi Limited. Its one of 25 in the UK; Its in urban grey, and is mechanically identical to a standard STI Type UK, but with a tiny rear lip spoiler, black brembo brakes, full leather interior, front spots, and silver enkei wheels.
More of a stealth option
My studio is just off Mole Road near Nirvana

Similar to the Spec D yes, but the Spec D has a different spoiler, gold brembos, a load of halfords style interior addon bits , slightly different badging on the sides.
This is a spec D:
The US had 800 of the STI Limiteds, only available in White and Urban Grey. In the UK there were only 25, but in a wider range of colours, I think with 5 or 6 dealers getting them all.
The official US site for them is:
2007 Subaru WRX STI Limited
and more info here:
2006 New York Auto Show - 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Limited

I'll keep an eye out for the Focus RS.
I hear a lot of info that the RS handling is really dependent on your tyre choice, and that the handling (specifically torque steer) has been tranformed simply by swapping tyres. Howve you found it?

hehe, i had the same idea - posted the google maps link up there....

Yes you are right about the tyres, as ive found with a few cars in the past, a quality brand makes sooooo much difference.
I love the car to bits but feel its time for a change, something 4wd
Mines currently 270bhp+ just on the front wheels, so its abit of an animal lol
Great fun but a handfull

I had a little black mini, black wheels with carbon fibre everywhere overtake me the other day on a dual carriage way - the thing just moved, I was on full throttle in 3rd and 4th. Bloody quick little thing it was! I've got an 02 ppp wrx.
Dont know what power he was running but it was fast - or mine needs a service
