olives Made by the devil himself.

In true evilness, they are made to look very similar to a nice tasty grape. So similar in fact, that to a just slightly drunk person they look identical. I picked up about 4, stuck them in my mouth, and pulled a facial expression (in a posh bar) that still haunts most of the clientèle to this day

Holy thread revival Batman!

Anyway, just collected about half a kilo of chillis from our bush today, and they seem great!

Will have to post some pictures on here soon!

Tried something courtesy of a mad mate the other day... Chilli dessert...

Frozen mango and raspberries, allow to defrost or part defrost.
Heat Jaggery with a little water and "Blair's Death Rain"

Stick fruit in a bowl, pour sauce over it.

<enjoy>

PS: Watch out for the raspberry/chilli combination

It should have came with a 'Hotness' warning.

Mention of Thailand reminds me that an old local of mine had a Thai Restaurant franchise. I don't like hot foods (why destroy the taste?) but I did once try their hot spicy beef strips. Hot and tangy, quite nice.

One evening when we were "relaxing" quite late on the Thai cook brought up some small bowls of these beef strips in a salad. "Go on try the real thing he said". Chewing on a red hotter poker whilst in a sauna is the only, rather understated, way of describing it Jugs of water and lager, sweat pouring down your face, incredible. Speech was a thing of the past.

Odd thing is that one of the Thai waitresses took one of the bowls and just gobbled it up the same way you or I eat a bowl of cornflakes dl
