Whites just so boring though. Common as muck now. I've not one ounce of doubt that whatever colour you do it Neil, you'll make an amazing job of it.
Just be nice to see something different?

Sorry for sounding boring, but I like the idea of keeping the Blob and going current (or even Pearlescent) White, and then maybe just adding your own personal touches at a later date with Viny, but then I would LOL

Anyhows, not really a lot to show for the last days work, but I thought I'd show it to keep up to date.
So, having got it into primer, I decided to weld a few more holes up, which neccesitated more filler and priming.

And a different colour primer for a change.

BTW, your special part is all parcelled up and I'll get it sent out on Monday.

This is just the start of it, much much more to come..
Managed to make a few decisions, and spend a few hours on it.
Firstly, I've decided to stay blobeye for a number of reasons:
1. Cost,
2. I have all the parts,
3. the car is a blob, and I don't want it be anything it isn't.
So, next decision, radiator and intercooler set up.
I wanted something neat which would cut down the intercooler pipework in the engine bay as much as possible.
I was initially going to make some kind of V-mount set up, but went for an RS500 style jobbie, eBay to the rescue, £200 for both. Bargain..
After a bit of measuring, a but of cutting, welding and primer, I came up with this:
Modified lower cross member, and you can also see one of the mounting points for the I/C here:

Intercooler goes here:

Front panel is now a bolt on/ bolt off affair:

Still plenty of room for the rad:

I've also welded up any redundant holes in the top of the slam panel.
Started to mock various items in place, such as the oil cooler:

Bit of trimming and it should get a fair bit of fresh air through here:

Still got a few things to mock up, but hopefully work permitting, I should get it in paint some time soon.

Yes Daz, I am going to be making a ducting box type thing which will mate upto the bumper ensuring what goes in there, goes through the cooler.
In fact, I may even be changing the way it is mounted, but the same will apply.
