Your totally mad but its going to look great when you've finished
As for the steering rack, see if you can get a "proper" STI quick rack, absolutely lovey rather than the fast rack off the other STi.

Cheers chaps for the comments, really does help when it comes to motivation at times

Not got much done on this car this weekend, although I have been a bit busy swapping gearboxes in my classic.

I have taken the UK 6 speed box out of my classic, along with the STi8 quick steering rack, ready to go in this new one.

Also put the bonnet on just to see what it's going to look like

Tony, the rack I have is off an STi8 I think, and is 2 1/4 turns lock to lock.
Which rack are you on about, and how many turns would that be?

A UK STI steering rack is a fast rack, something like 2.5 turns lock to lock, a JDM quick rack is the 2.25 turns, if you have one already then its not worth changing

2.25 ratio is just great on road and track, really improves the driving experience!

Update...

Due to holidays, , and busy at work, I have not made any progress at all on the car..

- Tone loc, the intercooler is identical to the 2fast2cool one, and for the money, and the power level I am going to be running at, I think it will be fine.
I had a similar one on my classic, which was 450/450 no probs..

- wrx bill, the kit is from Darren at autobodyworks Subaru Bodywork

- Damo...

Anyway, what I have done is made a decision on the wheels, and what engine I will be building for the car..

Update...

Not done much else on the actual body up to now, except for selling the front bumper

Not too much of a problem for now, as it isn't really neccesary at this time, and as I'm having the car white, I will get a front bumper made in white fibreglass anyway..

What has happened though, is that I have bought this...

A 2.5 bottom end, out of a 2006 car, which needs a rebuild.

Essentially I plan on using the crank cases, and fitting new uprated internals, courtesy of Mark at Lateral Performance .

Best get my credit cards flexing...
