Seriously mate hats off to you... the level of committment and skill displayed in what you do is nothing short of superb!

I can only imagine how many emails and pm's you get asking you to supply bits to ppl and do jobs on other cars... I'm thinkin you need a workshop set up with staff employed doing jobs under your name?! Going by what you have shown to every1 here I think queues will appear inline for your services

Saying that, both myself and a friend want bonnet pins fitted... we both have the parts, but not the right amount of ********* to start cutting holes in our bonnets, lol.

The bonnet pins you fitted were spot on and should you be available to do the same to both our cars we'll be over whenever suited you with crispy pieces of paper with the queens face on

Come on over dude. Always happy to help. Drop me a line whenever you want and i'll fit pins for you, no worries.

I could never run a business though. Id never make any money lol. I wont rush a job, and i wont let anyone else work for me because im never happy with anyone elses work lol. Im too much of a tart meaning things have to be "just so".

So im stuffed either way!

I am forever emptying my PM box of requests lol, but hey i like it that way. Its nice for people to look to me for help and advise sometimes and its rewarding for me to be able to help others out. Its because i treat every car like it was my own that means i'll never make any money doing it, or i would have started my own business by now.

The Frayz-engineering thing was started as a bit of fun between my friends and I. But everyone knows me as frayz so it had to be in the name. I am taking private jobs on all the time now mate, so if there is anything you want doing and i can help you out then just let me know.

Grab yourself a roof vent theyre easier than bonnet pins to get right

Nice to see the interest growing, lets hope it continues

You're a perfectionist and thats your best quality, but your main hinderence... catch 22! Running a business isnt the be all and end all, as long as you're happy doing what you're doing and enjoying the results then its all worth it

My dads the same way, he's a mechanic, self employed and works alone for all the reasons you gave. He does have to work to deadlines, but doesnt cut corners or cheap out on anything. He's also a perfectionist and everything is done precisely how its meant to be - as if he's working on his own car everytime he's doing a job for a customer.

I'll give you a shout in the new year and see if we can arrange for you to do my (and my friends) bonnet pins

Okay guys, what are your thoughts.

Im looking at selling my single Recaro Pro Racer SPA signed by Marcus Gronholm.

And replacing both front seats with a pair of these. Prodrive edition Sparco's.

What would you do?
Im thinking Prodrive seats in Prodrive edition bugeye and more user friendly on the road. But my seat is quite rare, very expensive and signed personally by Marcus.

Cheers Frayz

Make a sub frame so you can use the recaro as an office chair and get the prodrive sparcos ;-)

Sparco's for me. The head restraints in the Recaro look way over the top for road use IMHO

On second thoughts keep it, it's an amazing seat with huge memories for you and you'll regret selling it

Love the Recaro but it would be nice to have a matching pair!

......albeit it's quite academic now as you've already sold the Recaro now anyway

I'd go prodrives and if you can't keep the seat then sell it on. It's like the car, no good unless you're going to use it!

i think the recaro is way OTT for road use if thats where 99% of your car use will be for, its its just gonna be a track car then the recaro has to be the best option

the sparco's will look great as a pair and look stock in the Scoob

have you copnsidered the Recaro Sportster CS seats (focus RS seat)

The Recaro is the best seat by a mile, but we'll see how far the Sparco's are off the pace. I don't like the RS seats I'm afraid Mark. Too heavy and I don't want a recliner. I want a fixed bucket. :-)

Well guys, the Recaro is off to a new home soon. I hope its new owner loves it the way i do. I collected a pair of Prodrive Sparcos today. Theyre in very nice condition, the Passenger is stock Pro WRC in GRP weighing in at 7.9kg, the drivers one is a Pro WRC Carbon weighing 6.5kg.

I know i'll miss the Recaro like mad but i think these will look awesome in the Prodrive edition whip

I don't know what to say, I'm shocked that you are going to put a mis mash of seats in your car, next you will be mixing red and blue anodised fittings
