Hey peebs,
Was in touch with supplier of 1 of the major parts 2day and it looks like "my ba is burst" looks like the parts may not be here in time for the RR session but hey like i said i`ll b there with wot i`ve got
BTW we`re gonna do the same this time round re the results (post em up on the "Scottish rolling road results" page of my site )
If every1 is ok with that ?
This time though when we get the prints off could every1 fill in one of the forms indicating mods and prefered owners name, so I don`t have 2 chase any1 up for info after the event, and can get the results online quick and complete
Cheers

Should be up for Star on Sunday if only for the run up.
Seems a few meeting points being discussed, i.e. Glasgow Quay 8a.m.,Barrgeddie 8.15ish??,then South Q. for 9a.m.
Quay for 8 sounds O.K. - anyone else confirm?

If your meeting at the Quay hang by on your way and I'll join the line
Don't know what Gordon Shek is doin
Maybe he could link up with you at the Quay
I think he knows where that is

Meet at The Quay at 8:00AM sounds good to me. Just to confirm, The Quay is where Frankie & Benny's is isn't it? And Harry Ramsden is close by. I think there's also a Cinema at The Quay. The new Casino is facing The Quay and is on the other side of the water. Am I at the right place?
If I'm wrong, let me know cause I don't want to be waiting at the wrong place!.

Guys
I hope to be at star around midday & will join the queue for a power run.Only small mods since last run being an sti intercooler & blitz filter so interested to see what its running now.
I am hopefully bringing with me the Subaru select monitors for old & new scoobs, so if anyone wants a quick ecu check & reset before running, just ask me.

Dave,
I thought the sti and MY99/00 intercoolers were the same.
you seem to have made a mistake in your post, should it not read 17psi and not 1.7 bar
at the first rolling road day I did,Star used a large fan in front of the car and a second fan, with large hose to feed air directly to the top mount.does anyone know if this is still available for use,as after reading the thread in drivetrain about lack of air to intercooler possibly causing engine failures,I would feel happier if it was.

No I think Dave DOES mean 1.7 bar = 25PSI.
I hope I am making similar at the top end to Dave though apart from different exhausts and richness I would have thought they would be similar, but his will kill mine in the midrange with 7 PSI more!

I've done a bit of taming to my 'time bomb' for a run on the rollers. It's peaking 17psi and holds 15psi to 7000 (on the road I have it holding 17psi to 7000) It will be interesting to see how it compares to yours John B as they are similar spec, the main difference being the TD04/TD05. I would guess yours will peak earlier and higher but mine should hold power longer.(or blow up !)
See y'all at McDs (White 95 RA "FUG" )

I think yours will be way ahead at the top end and mine will be better at the bottom end, and they will be similar midrange. I only get 13.5PSI at 6500rpm, and it will be less efficient. This is probably around peak power, so 1.5PSI more on a more efficient turbo should give you at least an extra 20bhp I reckon.
If I have the DIY EBC ready I will run with it rather than the Dawes, but the results will be virtually identical as I will be running very similar boost.
It may be something that would be handy on your car when I have written TPS control and you can make your custom boost curve in the EEPROM. Will be good to meet up and have a natter to you all.
Looking forward to seeing what Sam's Evo7 @ 20 PSI to 7000rpm does if he is still running that with the Dawes. If he does I reckon 340-350bhp. Felt incredibly quick on the road.
Your Lambda and Knocklinks in yet Sam?

hi john
the lambda link and knock link have not arrived yet but i am not really worried about knock and i will check the mixtures on the rolling road. i bet it will be running over 10%co
i will be fiddling with the dawe tomorrow see if i can improve it a bit i don't like the fluctuations that i am getting.
the TD05L can produce a LOT of power at 17psi it will be at least 15bhp more than a td04l running the same boost. i know a car that produced 300bhp with a TD05L at star performance at 1 bar but that had a lot of other mods and a programmable ecu !! because you are running a 17 psi your intercooler will actually be the hindering point and not the turbo as the 95s had really poor intercoolers

Re intercooler, yea it's tiny, I've upgraded the water spray which drops the charge temp 5 deg C on the road but not much use on the rollers if they run it with the bonnet up !
Is it strictly one power run each ? The reason I ask is that I have made up a straight through 3" pipe to fit in place of the rear silencer.
Only takes 2 mins to fit and it would have been interesting to see what, if any, difference it made.
Sounds awesome !!

Hi Pete,
Yeah I'm coming along tomorrow, although I'll be darting off around 11am as I'm nightshift this weekend, so time to get some ZZZZd's. That's if I don't manage to find a quiet corner tonight
I'm really only coming along to see Sams car before he turns it into a McLaren eater and catch up with the lads.

see you guys soon then
wuz there is still space if you want to go on the rollers. and for every one that has emailed me there is spaces on the rollers. i remember replying to every one but you have not recieved a reply you are welcome.
i am sure jim won't mind really the more the better. i don't think there will be that many people anyway i am expecting max of 15 cars.

hi keith
it is not totally standard but almost. i have had a run 10 days ago just with the decate section and it gave 320bhp.
now i have got the centre section and the back box as well and the boost is raised a tad so hopfully it will be good.
as standard it was not as fast as my scoob in straight line, now it must be very close really. i think the evo now will have a slight edge over my scoob on a straight line. the handling is just no contest very very pleased with it.

Thanks for organising this Sam - great day. Pleased with my results considering my pea shooter exhaust and turbo. 257bhp 257 lb ft and 162 PAW, but there were two tiny flat spots high up that could've been ignition retard related from the rather pathetic TMIC "fan" they were using.
Sam your results were incredible.
