DocJock,

What are you ******** Arron are you ?? I was the passenger in the car with Trout, and was holding on tightly not because I was scared, but because that was all I could hang onto. The car was going through stages of rapid acceleration, followed by serious deceleration!!!!!

He wasn't driving to impress, but was showing me what his car was capable of at my request!!!!!! Have you spoken to Trout before ?? He a nice bloke and doesn't deserve what you have written!!!!

Trout was answering a question, about how fast down the main straight... I'm sure many people were interested, I don't think this would have caused anyone to crash through late braking.

I agree with what Trout has written that people will read all this ****e on here, and simply not bother coming to SIDC days anymore. I can't understand why Arron is still allowed to attend these events (in a BMW and not a Scooby) cause all he seems to use it for is an oppertunity to show off how much his car is / how much he earns, or what a good driver he is!!

I think that Arron should be banned from Scoobynet, as I haven't seen anything constructive that he's written (although the Kylie comment was soooo funny) We're all bored of hearing how crap P1 ones are!!!!

As I've said before I was on the track in the wet with chins following me, and he didn't get past....In fact I was getting away from him, in my hesitating bag of ****. Drivers ability, I doubt it as this was my first track day, and maybe be my last.

So can anyone answer this question please, why does Arron insist on arguing with absolutely everyone on here ???? Doesn't he realise he's putting people off posting???? Or like a spoilt brat, doesn't care ???

As I said before Arron, why don't you **** off to the Rich boys BBS, and leave us lowely peasants alone ?

Cheers Phill C

Doc,

Ok - accepted to a point - however my comments would be hard to construe as aggressive driving.

Aaron and Doc,

my impression is that you are good drivers - I also am fully aware that you would not deliberately trash your car - no-one wants to on a track day. Regarding your comments - they may have been targetted at individuals, but there are those who read this who do not realise that and we have seen the sad results this year of some people not responding in the best way to this banter.

Finally - I am sure that in person you are really nice guys, I have more than likely even met you and spoken to you - however my sense of humour here is irrelevent when others are telling me they are not going to support SIDC events because of people like Aarons behaviuour and views....

....and am merely telling, a perhaps unpalatable, and possibly entirely unfair truth!

So, don't patronise me by telling me to lighten up - it's worth having the debate - even if you don't like it - and by the way, this is not pointed just at Aaron - but it just happened that this post was coincidental with other inputs!

So, guys, Happy New Year to all of you and lets hope that all of our track days are as much fun, as well behaved and as relaxed as our last trip to Bedford in the rain!

Cheers,

Trout

OK guys.. steady on.

A few points as I see then.

1) Aaron has not posted anything insulting in this thread. In-fact nothing more than a little bit of testosterone banter, dispite this being an insulting thread directed specifically at him.

2) He is actually a nice bloke who likes to have a laugh and take the micky.

3) I would hope we all know that a track day says very little about either a cars performance or that of the driver, no matter who you pass / passes you.

4) Aaron ought to be pretty quick considering the motorsport history he has.

5) He will have to admit that he deserves a bit of a ribbing due to the sheer level of wind ups he has initiated in the past (and credit to him, he seems to be taking it well).

6) If we banned everybody on scoobynet that bragged about their performance at track days we would save a lot of money in bandwidth!

We all know Aaron is a wind up merchant (you can't blame him, look at what car he drives!!! ), but he's a good lad (if a tad irritating at times!! ), so shall we just leave this as a mis-understanding??

And as Richard said, definitely leave out the personal insults please.

All the best

Simon

My God you lot have been busy
Thanks Simon I think I`ll use your comments on my next CV
Babber I`m not sure what your problem is mate but I wont let it spoil my use of the BBS. I have actually met a lot of good people on here and thats why I still use it despite not now owning a Subaru. Perhaps unless you actually do and can post your specific details you should be banned eh
Thanks also to the two Rich`s. I do my best.
Please also search for my old posts on track days Trout and I`ll think you may find that I actually agree with most of your comments.
Happy New Year folks.
PBONE I pass your gaff just as fast now mate just with a lot less noise and fuss

Richard my Digital camera takes moving pictures too mate but I save that feature for those special nights in with her indoors
PS Babber and Trout I`m sure that you are far more competetive than I could ever be judging by the type of thread you post.
As a matter of fact you would probably win everything that you entered.

Ban Arron from the BBS
I thought he did that himself once upon a time . If people create threads questioning their own involvement in Scoobynet, they should accept others discussing the same topic.

I wont let it spoil my use of the BBS
Within a community is it usually considered socially responsible to take into account the views of others. Whilst your wind-ups obvioulsy give yourself and a few others great pleasure perhaps now would be the time to admit they may be having an adverse affect on others who do not know you and your bantering friends as well you do and perhaps save it for somewhere else - like the pub ?

Perhaps we should now have an Arron Bird - self appreciation forum. He could moderate himself
