M3 CSL = A road legal track car on semi slicks, simple as that.
RS4 = Fast luxorious 4 door car on road tires
R8 = Luxurious premium sports car on road tires
When the R8 got tested on semi slicks, like ALL M3 CSL times are the R8 is FASTER!!!!!!!!!!

350HP
Also
3.0TDI V6 BlueTec
Ultra clean diesel to meet extremely stringent US regulations. (which equals much much less emissions)
260hp for this unit
BlueTec technology also applied to 2.0TDI making 204hp.
Now that audi diesel engines are being refreshed BMW is in big doo doo
And lets not forget audi's upcoming V12 TDI with an output of 500 bhp and 738 ft.-lbs.
Doesnt look good for the competition does it

Mercedes already have a Bluetec diesel engine launched in the States, have a twin turbo V8 diesel that has been around for a few years that has to be restricted to 1000Nm to ease the strain on the gearboxes, and AMG have done a Pre-Production version of this engine (in a SL no less) and a triple turbo version of the current V6 in a SLK.
Hardly looking like Audi are at the cutting edge now.

PS - Good luck to Peugeot with the new 907 in the LeMans 24, barring any mechanical problems, it should wipe the floor off all those other pesky diesels on the grid.

Triple turbo so what audi is on quad turbo diesels. The difference between audi and mercedes diesels is that audi's are cleaner, more powerful and have a more beautiful power curve.
