What is it with driving standards these days. Lorry drivers and Taxi drivers, 2 of the worse culprits IMHO when it comes to standards of driving on our roads today. Everytime I'm behind any of those 2, I give them plenty of room.

oye mr i beg to differ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Allow me to shatter your illusion Chips... I am well-spoken and well-educated. I have been to university and I would consider myself to be reasonably intelligent. I am an advanced driver and Im sure that I could show a clean pair of heels to many here. I drive a 32 tonne vehicle loaded with very hot asphalt every day and I do this with great care and consideration. None of the steroetypes repeated here apply to me in any way. Where does that leave your arguement?

Looks like you can get banned on here now for just about anything, pathetic
I'm a bit cheesed off about it. Chip's one of the good 'uns.

I guess I'll be next then LOL

I am amazed Chip has been banned if it is for his comments on this thread

He hasn't been abusive to anyone individually, nor has he been racist or trolling, not sure what other infractions there are, he like some others has a strong feeling regarding HGV drivers, people on power trips me thinks

It's bound to happen with this system. Fully paid-up militia with itchy trigger-fingers.

It wasn't aimed at you Shaggy, it was a generalisation that I can whole heartedly agree with Chip's comments to a lot of the HGV drivers I have encountered on the roads

And I have driven HGV myself many years ago

Does that mean I should be banned also?

In the end it's only his opinion, and he hasn't directly insulted another member, only by association. Infracting him for those comments is outside the remit of the infraction system and is unjustified. It's not trolling, either, because he's not disrupting other people's threads with his comments, he's started a debate, albeit a bit heated.

I don't drive an HGV, but I've been cut up, slowed up and menaced by loads.

Odd, that, considering they're all knights of the road.

Abso fekkin' lute TOSH!!! smacks of someone having a guilty (even by association or proxy) concience.. theres threads that are a LOT worse than this that are left to run, and those that start or 'fuel' the thread are left to continue to post..

So, Shaggy, are we all now to relinquish our 'thinking brains' as we log on to the site, and become sheep? only allowed to post what is for the good of the site? there is nothing wrong with DEBATE.. there are NO PERSONAL smears in this thread, just simply 'generalisations' scathing as they may be.. but generalisations non the less..

well done unclebuck nice bit of detective work there.

it was me, at least I have the guts to not hide behind the infraction systems wall.

I took his comments personally and as an insult, I know that others did as well (thanks for the pms by the way)

(feel free to pick on my spelling, im dislexic)

p.s.
Suresh is a Troll.

Personally I think it is an abuse of the infraction system if it was you alone that resulted in Chip getting banned Shaggy

The comments were generalisations, not directed at any members, it doesn't say under your name you are a HGV driver, and you havent really commented on this thread so how can they be directed at you

No he's not.

B2Z is right. Get a grip, or get a job as a Traffic Warden. They get a bonus for the amount of infractions they give.

I took his comments to be insulting. the infraction system has this as a point for infraction, so presume that the admin want us to infract for such things.

If I am wrong then its me that will be banned.
