Mines probably sat on the door mat right now, Postie doesn't turn up until about 11am normally.

Having read some of the info on Driving in the Czech Rep, we're gonna have to be a bit careful what we do, where we park, etc

Cool

11 days will be on my way to Interlaken

Hope you all got your route books

wx Stelvio sunny for at least the next 5 days

Grossglockner more snow

Car all serviced ready to go, MOT tomorrow, fingers crossed there.

Ref Czech republic we seemed to crack a decent pace in a Volvo estate on the recce even going sideways around corners until all the electronics parked you. Very few cars on the road, fantastic open roads which are quite well maintained.

Parking in the Czech Republic looks a bit problematic - hotel on a narrow street?

Thats the problem with visiting towns designed in the seventeen hundreds, dont worry, we are confident the hotel has allocated parking even though it may not be on the door step.

There you go even parking is an adventure for this trip

I have planned all the routes into Autoroute and converted them to TomTom Waypoint files. If any body would like them let me know, though there is no warranty as to their accuracy, though the start and end points each day are right :-). I can also convert to most other satnav formats as well, just ask.

Well my wee EVO is all fixed up and survived the Scottish MLR Sprint at the W/E:

Streaming Vid on Google

Download 239MB - Right Click & Save As

Just need to fit some new brakes, new tyres and get the 2 x 12in subs re-fitted and we'll be all ready - can't wait

Passed MOT but have play in NSF wheel bearing, some thing needing to be done at the last minute typical.

Sunny at Grossglockner with some decent snow coverage, sunny through to the 17th for Stelvio.

Must find all my documents. Dont forget you MUST have both parts or licence to get into Czech republic. Or alternatively have an international driving license.

Another obscure bit of info that I dug up - in some of the countries, it's mandatory to carry a spare pair of spectacles if you wear them to drive.

Not long heard - sad news indeed, my thoughts go out to his family

Saying that Paul, you can't live life in a padded cell mate. All the danger of high speed driving he went through to be killed in a helicopter crash, tragic.
