Last week the German police pulled us over, 12 scoobies, just after entering their territory via Belgium, they thought we were part of the Gumball/Canonball rally.

It took 45 minutes of explanation for them to understand the word convoy.

Don't forget your licence.

Subtle as always eh Hoff, just removed Trackmasters along with Mrk to make car less obvious.

One of the reasons we will not convoy and break down into Groups of 4/5 cars is to avoid attention.

Guys away racing boats for the next week, any questions you have organisation wise contact Mrk.

Exactly 4 weeks to go

Regards insurance for the Ring, what sort of quotes have people been getting back.
I've just been quoted £360 for the 2 days for 2 drivers. I was told the Nurburgring has the highest group rating with nearly 50% claim rate!!!

Must admit I've never bothered with insurance for The Ring, although £360 isn't a bad price for 2 days/2 drivers. I've always driven within my abilities, on my own, no passenger to goad me on or in a group where the red mist descends!! It's an awesome place whether you do a 9 minute lap or a 15 minute lap.

My 2 pennies worth

Where the best place to try for Ring insurance? As it's my first time there, I've no real intention of trying for lap records, just to get round reasonably quickly, and in one piece, and enjoy the experience.

You was quiet in the front Paul

You're right tho - Rog did get yours round a lot quicker than you did!!

Might be worth checking your insurance policy Tony, I'm sure someone posted up previously that some insurance actually covers you anyway coz the Ring is a toll road and not a racetrack - might be wrong

Tony - if you're insured through Keith Michaels and used Gary Moulson as your agent then he will give you a good quote for the Nurburgring. If you're not insured with him then check him out come renewal time

Hi Guys

All ready for this then?

My diesel barge has sailed through it's £372 oil change service needing only some new suspension components

Nevermind, my Chavmobile is getting some serious cooling upgrades added this week, so might be ready for the trip after all

Should be Fun - can't wait

Cheers

Chavmobile???? Which one is that?

Just looked at the Stelvio webcam and that is covered in snow!! Mind you it was at this time two years ago, and was clear, dry and warm when we got there. Fingers crossed.

Very True Driving from Switzerland to Italy via Bormio could be interesting then, not many places to divert once on route ;-)
