Don't encourage him Rob.
He has a hatred for English people and his bite is nasty according to Geoff.

An English Raid to Doune though is a great idea, and we can then steal his car to force him to Loton to get it back!

I would love to see John in action at Loton.

ps
have you looked into f/glass/carbon boot lids yet?

I'm trying to find the company website again I lost it when I formated my PC. I'll let you know. I'm only really interested in fibreglass, carbon is too much cash.

Try this guy, I bought a shell off him that I stripped for Autocross.

Welcome to Immortal Performance home custom composites

He is on here.

This is what the bonnet and boot look like.

And this is how quick it is off the line....or field!

More fun than Sprinting and I have my own test track.

That boot lid is a tidy fit John.
I think also there is another source for the doors at much the same price.
I was told that the alloy Sti bonnet is as light as a glass one.
Bootlid is another stort, esp with the spoiler added.

Cheers John!

How much does your autocross car weigh out of interest?

Rob.

Not sure, I will stick it on the corner scales during the week. It has a long way to go yet. It has all its glass except for the back window which is pollycarbonate. Doors need stripping or replacing too.

It's my winter project, thinking of putting the RA sti motor in it. In the video above, it shows old Steve Courts driving. Once we put a DCCD box in, the traction off the line is fantastic. It has plated diffs front and rear.

Fancy a go?

Ripping the P!55 out of some of them is good fun, though it has to be said some are easier than others,

I'm sure you have a passage somewhere about 'if i were English I'd top myself' or similar, mind you some English I know feel that way anyway!
But, what about you come to Loton, Rob/we come to Doune?

All that way in the 911?
Yep, that's no problem, but not very competative. (is there a sports car class or are those Leaders dates?)

On a more serious note, look how revealing the Zen car was to us all at Shelsley. To see John's approach to the same problem would be very interesting, especially the engine.

I'm NOT going there ever...

What a driver!
Surely that is not an Imp engine? Sounds too much like a bike engine??

Very cool video, I have seen him drive his v10 predator, he's a seriously quick driver.

Here he is in the V10 at Shelsey, makes it so short it almost seems like there is no point.
Graeme Wight Jnr Predator V10 Onboard Shelsley Walsh www.2T4T.co.uk - Video

Hill looks awesome, would take a while to get used to and with walls and barriers both sides in most places would have to be cautious for a fair few runs before you could get stuck in.

I'm considering the leaders next year so maybe I will go up. I can only think of sticking my car in a container and sending it up there, I just can't contemplate towing a 700 mile round trip.

Easy for you next year Rob.

That is quite an Imp engine John. My mates rally Imp never sounded that good but went to 10K.

Impressive stuff, I don't claim to be some all conquering hero who can go to any track and push the records, but 55's in any car at loton, espeicially one with a roof and of my road legal spec shows I can compete at the top level. I'm sure I could compete eventually anywhere but 4/5 runs at a new track anyone would be hard pressed to even get going let alone compete no matter what the car. Next seasons car should see my current PB times destroyed at the midland tracks and maybe some visits around the far away tracks just to get a feel for it and enjoy a road trip (if it is possible to enjoy towing). Might even find my way onto some circuits. The 'sit down' with Paul is yet to happen so how much more competetive my paultry coins can make me is yet to be determined.

2nd one is great!
You/Rob/Dad doing the MAC Curb tomorrow? Thinking of popping over to watch if its sunny and if some rice rockets are there.

Heard of 2 other machines joining you in 2008, both well over 400...
Going to get crowded!

The plan is in place.
Firstly, i will see if I can sell the car again, but if not I will knock 7 bells out of the car in 2008 while Rob and Pete knock 8 bells out of anyone in the class.
2008 will be a 'rest year' and I will run my old 911 on Kumho's and make-up the numbers in the Sports Car Class.
There is a strong chance I just might prefer the 911 in 2009....

Everyone will be looking for 500+ bhp and 1000Kg cars, I hope to find 400 bhp/tonne. I am currently 290 bhp/Tonne and Rob about 350 ish.

Time will tell.

Just back from a dry warm sunny Curb (yes, that can happen).

Simon Bridge there in his really nice stock RA Sti, gave him something to think about. He is staying in the Production class thank goodness.

He recons Smithy will be back in 2008 (700bhp EVO 5 or 6 iirc.)

Lots of nice cars there inc my current fav a Brabham B21 with a V8.
Did me no good at all.
John Bradburn was there with the Gould and looking at FTD.

If I can sell the car soon yes it will go and I'll wait for a saloon to turn-up with a 2.5 and box all done.

P!!ssed off with myself for not finding somehow the £10K for Kenny S's RA.
Perfect car waiting for my suspension.

It seems from my day 1 of hillclimbing just about everyone is going to come to the class with monster horsepower car and rip it up, they just never seem to actualy arrive, will be good for the class if they ever actualy do.

Did you not have some offers for your car already that you could pursue?
