He was seriously thinking of a plane last time I spoke to him. He was interested in my friends experience, he built one himself and did all the pilot traing stuff several years ago which is far harder than buildng the thing!

I will be surprised if he actualy jacks it all in, even if he is 'second best' from now on.

Got the Shelsley final instructions through for the 9th, much bigger class than Loton which is good to see.

Roy returns and John Murphy (Blademaster) makes his first appearance in an A meet should be a good weekend if the weather holds out.

Getting crowded in the kitchen! Getting close to the class looking like the Caterham class?

I'm not nervous at all. These hot shots are not competition to me as they are impossibly too far in front!

But, if you think you can make my car chase them better than I can brave it, it is for sale!

Graham.

Sad to hear Graham, I never thought I would see the day, you have said it a million times before but I have never seen you write "for sale", is it really going this time, what are you going to replace it with, or shall this become a winter long guessing game!?!

Although it seems not quite serious enough to have it in the for sale section yet....

Graham, you will beat me. Work commitments have meant I never got the RA re shelled. I'm running the only WRX 'shopping car'. It's embarrassing!

I lost to a standard 911 RS at Curborough with it the other week. I have dropped to 66 secs on a double lapper at Curb and cant get off the line in under 2.6 in the 66 feet zone.

A year ago I would have settled for these times, but having had 63’s and 1.9’s in the RA, you feel like not turning up.

I am making up the numbers for Shelsley this time.

I just flew back from Glasgow and tried to catch up with Andy Forrest. I stayed in Dunbar and went past the power station through where I thought he worked but couldn’t find Harbour road. I have called him several times but he doesn’t seem to answer. I was thinking of having a go at putting together a similar spec RA to his. Any ideas how to contact him?

Rob, got PM thanks will take you up on it.

Rob: Yes, it is for sale.
TBH, fed-up chasing and so so far off the pace, but cannot see the point of 'up-grading' so leaving the Impreza arena totally.

I know exactly what I want to do next (still be hillclimbing-tough luck) but in another class.
It may take a while to pull it all together, so could still race in C1 or C2 next year as the 'project' is too big for me to simply jump into. I want to sell the car as it is really rather than break it.
I may not use Snet to sell it as it is so hard to find sensible people with sensible heads rather than 'give you £5 for it mate' stuff.

Blade runner: Are you after AndyF? If so simply email him on AndyForrestPerformance (.com?).
He is away a lot of course, but will get back to you. Rare to find him instantly.

Sorry to fool about on the Thread Rob, best get off now!

Graham.

I currently am suffering from food poisioning, so beer is off the menu for a bit.

On the bright side my power to weight ratio is dropping by the day.

It's a sad day when Graham puts his car up for sale. Thanks for all the advice & support, I hope you still frequent Scoobynet even if the leave the Subaru brand.

Someone else told me that yesterday. A John Deere dealer, Nairn Brown at Paisley. Nairn runs a Scooby when he's not rallying a sunbeam.

Rob, can I make you feel better? I flew out of Glasgow 1 hr late today....landed Birmingham and sat on runway for 2 hours due to lack of 'docking station' so got into terminal and realised I left my car keys on a desk in Airdrie! Cost me £20 to get an old boy to pick up the spare keys from the farm and bring them to me at the airport. Got stung £17 for overnight parking!

Got home, wife gone out, mother in law had a surprize visit (waste gate chatter, you want to hear her), 9 month old baby screaming for the last 2 hours......swap you!

Graham, looking at building this Welcome To Spire Sports Cars

Thought it might make a change from tin tops.....thoughts?

I still own a Suzuki Franchise so might go for the bike engine option.

That's quite a good looking car!
Bike engine the sensible choice from what I can see. I hope my next venture will be drafty/wet too!
I've done tin-tops for 14 years, so a change is needed as I'm dead bored 'today'.

In the 80's I went to Detroit 24 times in 18 months and France just over 30 times or more. Nearly killed me (literally) but never lost anything but one plane.
I sat in Brussels airport trying to get home one winter friday night and sat around for years. Approaching the take-off time the desk kept-on asking for a bloke called 'passenger low-a-kiss'. She was French....
It was when the plane had left I found out from a very naffed-off French lady that my surname in some parts of France is pronounced Low-a-kiss.

4 hours later I was on the way home with 4 stewardess' and just me on the plane.
I was brain-dead most of the time....even then

Pete:

The class will be well over 7 next year from the little I know.
If the Impreza sells then I will do C2 in the 911 with a £400 set of soft Kumho's on and really enjoy myself with The Project in the garage!

The car goes on sale at Prescott.

Mark; Thanks for the kind words, but I will 'dissapear' so not to be distracted!
Pete: Beware of taunts from Scotland, they eat Midlanders up there.

Graham.

Interesting post.

If I hear of anyone looking for an STi - I will PM you.

Bloody annoying your car did not come up for sale sooner - I would have snatched it off you.

I know Nairn in passing, he used to hillclimb a nice Healy 3000.

Don't believe what Graham says.

I've run at Doune every year since 1998 (barring fuel protests & foot and mouth) and have survived....

I do want to broaden my horizons next year, trailering is miserable though so the thought of scotland is painful, may try some of the further off english stuff.

Still want to do a euro hillclimb one day, now that looks like fun.

YouTube - Toni Büeler Evo VI

we dont get to do that much driving in a season!

I'm getting there, might be able to stomach a beer if your up for it.

7 days of no food is taking its toll though I'm hallucinating, I thought I broke the record at Loton and beat the £100000000000 A4, now thats some crazy sh*t!
