Any 10/100 RJ45 PCI Ethernet card should do. My Local B&Q MegaStore actually have un-branded (realtek chipset) cards for a tenner which are just fine for occasional home use (not going to run a mission critical server off it)
There should be several spares kicking about though.

Jebus !
You guys need a disaster recovery plan with all that kit !
Us northerners will have a play on the Rogue locked server and hone our aiming skills ready for your return.
You do all realise that your lan party will mean that you'll have around 1-5 ping ! , are you sure you'll be able to handle the return to normality ?

Hopefully I might be able to get four TFT screens to use. I will know for certain after xmas.
Nimbus - didn't have a chance to draw a diagram yet. I'll email it over to you as soon as I have done it.

If you have any spare kit (sounds like you have loads), why not have one client specifically used for recording each and every round of CS as a demo so we can all relive your past glories (if you have enough spare disk that is).
Eagerly awaiting seeing the fabled 4 headshots from one bullet.
Edit : Just realised, not sure if you can do this on a specific client, think each person would have to record ? Anyone ?

What happened to that screenie of me pulling off a fabled 4 kills with one burst from my Colt last week?
A couple of you said that you'd caught it
With regards to the other games. Obviously I'll already have TFC, I've got an "evaluation" version of RTCW so just as long as it doesn't need to authenticate the cd key I should be ok.
I can get my hands on Colin McRae 2 if that's networkable? not sure of any other driving games we could play (I take it we aren't doing sim driving games?)
I'll need 3x power sockets and I'll bring my own 4 block extension cable so that rather convieniently leaves another socket to daisy-chain them together
Oh, if are playing a flight game we'll need a joystick? That means I'll need another power socket for me Force feedback stick (I'll have to blow the dust off it :P)
Matt
P.S. Is anyone else worried that we won't have the excuse of lag when we keep getting killed when we all meet up?

Hi Guys
Nimbus
Medal of Honour - (Hopefully if we can source the game earily)
There is currently a rather large playable demo going around at the moment. I will find out the down load link and post it later.
I can also bring mains extension leads and 4 block skt.
Any disc that you require, I should be able to obtain a disc to cou'gamescopyworld'gh! . Though we dont want to spend hours copying, installing then working out what to do all day.
Count Muddy Funster in he is well up for the session.
Can somebody post a link from www.mulitmap.com on the location of Witherspoons. Also it doesnt matter if its open or not we are down for a games session guys, not a Drinking session . We could just use their car park to meet in.
Bring it ONnnnnnn

The Medal of Honour demo is about 120mb to download.
I've played it briefly, you only get one map and only the "free for all" game mode is allowed. I wasn't that impressed with it to be honest.
If Ghost Recon works in multiplayer then I think that'll be a better one to play.

Neal,
Good point re AV.
RR,
Mike posted that he would like to join up a few posts back. Will you have room? I know we already have quite a few playing, so not sure if you have any more room. Up to you...
Also, as Neal says, it's not important if JD-W's open or not, it's just a conveniant place where we can meet up.
The current list of players stands at...
Nimbus
Deano
HHxx
RR
Dave (Merlin)
Neanderthal
Dizzy
NM
Muddy
That's 9

As for games, I spotted "Solder of Fourtune" in the local WHSmith for a tenner. Looks pretty good (FPS ) but not seen it before. It has some LAN mulitiplayer games, so should be a good larf. I'll load it up at home and give it a go.
Also, I'll be compiling a CD of maps so can everyone let me know what maps they want. That way we won't have anyone missing anything

Nimbus - was thinking I could pre-load them all on the server (both in C/Strike) and in a shared folder - People could then copy the whole lot locally before we start ? Basically had thought everything on cs.whoc
Been looking at wahts required for a C/S server which doesn't seem to bad.
Need to check for things like Ghost Recon (Everyone needs a CD in their drive to run it ?)
UT could be added as well ? (I can get in touch with SIDC Lee to find out whats required for a UT server)

Doh!!! Good call.
I pretty much have everything on the cs.whoc server downloaded and on the CD-RW. I'll bring it anyway. Are there any other maps people will be insterested in?? If so, post here!!
