I used to rate driving a slower car on its maximium, much more fun than driving a faster car due to the fact a car such as a Scooby is so fast that "normal" drivers and normal road conditions only mean that 40% of the fast cars ability can be used most of the time.
But human nature still gets us buying the faster car.

I now have got the fast car and even had PPP put on it!
But still enjoy driving the slower stuff when the opportuinity arises.

As a wifes run around the car sounds a great buy.
She will be chuffed with a new car.
You will not mind driving it now and again.

Go for the Ipod link not the CD changer, buying the Ipod will also be a great experience. Your entire collection wherever you go.

The extra's we have decided on now are just the Metallic Paint(Grey),and the 6 Speaker+Subwoofer upgrade as the car comes so well equipped as standard. The only other option we considered was the Electric Skydome Sunroof, but at £500 considered it unneccesary, but as you say,if we do ever have the dealer get back to us,we will get an ipod adaptor fitted instead of the CD Changer,as nowadays it makes more sense .

Paul,
I am also a fiat fan and have had loads over the past 18 years including 3 uno turbos.
As well as the scoob i also have a uno d and punto jtd ,before getting the panda you must have a drive in a jtd as they are great little cars and you can pick them up for peanuts, the handling is great, the pickup is so responsive and you can get them remapped or tuning box up to 120 bhp, alot of fun and i just as much enjoy it as the scoob for the fact that not alot keeps up with it on my known backroads.

Cheers

No mate, the dealer never got back to me,and i got fed up with waiting,so i have just picked the missus up her new car today.

Got her a Peugeot 107 Urban 5 Door in the end,just under a year old,so hopefully done it's major first year depreciation,and paid £5000 for it,so she's and i'm .

Although, once the Panda 100hp's are in the same situation,i.e. 1 year old and about 5k i will definately still get her one!!
