Recommend an Anti-Virus program
Hello
And after all of that ... I went with Kaspersky again. As I've been using it for a long while and I know it has kept my computer protected.
Thanks for the advice .. and continue to argue amongst yourselves

Don't you mean "won"?
So it's a victory for the cheap skates who want to install substandard software to "protect" their computers and personal information.
I wonder how many of you would put remoulds on your scoobs instead of proper tyres just because they are cheaper...
All I can say is good luck !!!

next time renewal comes back, take a look at G-Data Antiviruskit. I know you trust KAV and another highly regarded engine is BitDefender. AVK combines both engines in a configurable form so you can choose to use either or both. This and a Sygate personal firewall configured you are set.
For a free option, I suggest Antivir. Very good scanning definitions, maybe even on par with KAV in some respects but you have to put up with an annoying windows when updating.

now for something slightly off topic, but I'm sure wont disappoint

YouTube - BitDefender - Here we go
YouTube - Bitdefender GC-Party song
YouTube - Booth Babe dancing at Bitdefender @ Games Convention 2006
etc.
Now, go and watch the Symantec version:

Credit for this find goes to Gadi Evron, which I thought echoes the thoughts off this thread somewhat in a less serious manner. I still find it VERY strange marketing
