Not too sure mate; bought mine to test a Range Rover [which then blew up its engine 6 months later]. Key thing is that all cylinders are all broadly similar pressure. D

Oh dear!

Having said that... I wonder how many people do the check.... not actually that mad - whip the plugs out.. stick the tester in... crank.... voila... call me paranoid..

Many sell higher milage cars when they start to use oil; doing a comp check could flag up problems if you are buing something without a warranty. [Wouldnt want to do it on a Scoob mind as that's an engine out jobbie!!!!]

Pluging a VAG-com into a S4 and then measuring various blocks will tell you pretty quickly if the car is OK or not......really no need to pressure test. If you seriously want to buy a S4 get MRC Tuning in Banbury to check it out before purchasing. They are the experts in S4s in the country.
