SMACS - THURSDAY EVENING DRIVE OUT
I'd love to go if i could hitch a ride from someone. I'm visiting the UK from the US for work (in Northwich) and i'm staying in Chester. I get off around the time around 7ish? I'm not sure if i'm located anywhere near where you guys are going to be. If anyone has a suggestion or wouldn't mind showing me around please email me at ikhan1999yahoo.com

Great run paul.
A bit hairy down the A54, as lack of grip was a problem form my high sidewalled tyres and sh!te brakes. I'm sure justin will testify there where some funky noises coming from my tyres and the comment from dai "look at the smoke from your brakes" puts it into perspective.
Congleton and Knutsford town centres where great, just to see the look on that old ladys face as we went through knutsford town was worth it. And the acoustics through the tunnels was awesome.

Excellent first run Paul - nicely organised.
And thanks to everyone who took part for their excellent driving behaviour and consideration for others in the group - not one person got lost.
And appologies to Clare for just driving past you in your moment of need - but you had plenty of people already with you and it was a dangerous place for all of us to stop so I thought best to move forward out of the way.
Looking forward to seeing the tunnel videos

oh and forgot to mention that i learnt a valuable lesson last night, dont assume when the guy in front overtakes the road is clear and follow and in particular when the guy in front happens to be The Cheif
Good run out last night chaps - well done Paul mate, hats off to you. a good bit of sensible driving last night, no silly escapades or over inflated ego's.
a credit to the club.

Still i dont feel sorry for you, you've got the Ring in 2 weeks!!!! Git

The garage have just rung. the front wheel is B*g*ered and will have to be replaced the rear is very bad and will need to be replaced. Its either £200 per wheel or £525 for a full set of new wheels including tyres (TSW).
Forget new scoobies they cost a fortune!!!
There is no point in just replacing the left hand side really is there??? Told them to order new set. Once they are on they will then test everything else because the alignment is so out. Brakes yet to be tested. They confirm no chasis damage but will be checking the arms again once new wheels on. They did suggest going on ebay but i wouldn't have a clue what to look for and delivery would be expensive.
What do you think???

yeh u got me
clare hope your cars ok didnt look to bad apart from the wheel
