Simon, the only thing I miss is a usable boot and being able to fit in a normal width parking bay at the supermaket, oh and a standard DIN sized centre console.
Thankfully the door skins seem thick enough to withstand the unavoidable knocks caused by fat arsed people trying to squeeze in the car I park next to.

Not a WRX / STI but I've just done an interesting timed test day last weekend with my current car (R32 Golf DSG), which has shown the huge difference "simpathy" will make...
0-60 done all out with launch control (unpleasant clutch and gearbox strain) = 5.68
0-60 done committed but with smoother (no major mechanical strain) initial launch = 6.41
0-60 done with total ease and mechanical simpathy = 7.02
That is a range from comfortably in the 5 seconds to over 7 seconds, with the same car, weather, driver, timing, etc ... just a change in take-off attitude. And with DSG you can't fluff a gear change, on a normal manual potential differences would be even greater...
So my guess would be that the same scoob in the same conditions could have a 2 or maybe even 3 seconds range in the 0-60 sprint depending solely on launch technique and gear changes.

What? The 1st gear launch is the best bit LOL (but maybe not the best thing for the gearbox)
Especially if you have a passenger who has never been pinned in the seat when you dump the clutch at high revs in a high bhp 4wd car.
Had a friend who tried to capture the moment on a camera phone.....which ended up being rather nice footage of the headlining.

At Trax this year we managed a 3.59 0 - 60 in the Adrenaline Motorsport Murtaya , essentially a Subaru based kitcar running a mildly tweaked 2.5 conversion in full road trim....
They also do a lightweight version which weighs in at just over 800kgs , pretty confident that with 400hp and a decent launch this should do a sub 3 second...

I take it the driver who did that time stopped off for a p1ss en route

I think the original times (posted by Bob'5) only prove that some numpties drive Subaru's aswell. Who can blame them, most Imprezas are absurdly easy to drive briskly....
(hopefully it only applies to a very few of us, but it's still kinda funny!)

Tried a few 0-60 sprints but the smell of that clutch just put me off too much. Just aiming on improving the 50-100 times, there's been quite a few times I couldn't overtake a large diesel (BMW 535 etc) due to the scoob running out of grunt. Roll on more mods
