The reason on me saying that is because when we had a HG failure ( very common BTW ) EVERY single diagnosis had the same problem with the discoloured water. We never ever had one that had failed and not have the contaminated/rusty brown water.
The worse Renaults was when they released the new shape Laguna in conjunction with the new shape Mondeo, Renault released them not 100% completed. I could go a full week without touching a spanner, the electrical circuit was appalling on them.
The worse ones were the DCI's running up on the oil, we used to get several a month being recovered into the workshop.
Bit of fun for you here, our garage was split between Renault and Nissan. Every time a Renault or Nissan was recovered to the shop broken down, we used to colour a brick with chalk in the warranty shed. Renaults with a yellow mark, and Nissan's with blue.
When I left, the bricks were completely covered in yellow chalk, with only TWO blue marks from the Datsun boys.
