So how do you find the Monaro ROSSCNEW? I was thinking about one before I settled on a Forester STI because of AWD and load carrying. Still thinking about one for the next car.

Reliable cuts out all the ferrari reccomendations
You could get a convertible M3 on a 52/3 plate for that sort of money, and they are fantastic cars - hardly any compromise at all from the coupe.

I agree the M3 is a good one, under 3 y/o, under 25k miles and under £25k. Also the V8 Audi S4, similar age, miles and price, and slightly better value for money [and a bit left field] Volvo S60R. Nice chasis, 300hp over 300lb/ft from 2-5k rpm. Not anywhere near as involving as the other 2 but probably as quick in the real world. The only other odd one is a Range Rover V8. Brisk enough to get around [obviously not fast] but has a lot to offer.......
2002 02 Reg RANGE ROVER 4.4 V8 VOGUE 34,000 miles, £26,950.

not that fast, poor image and looks IMO
there are far better cars you can buy with 25K
trawl through the piston heads TVR section, some fast cars in there

loved my TVR (loved it less standing by the side of the road on more than one occasion)http://s100.photobucket.com/albums/m...gAnch=imgAnch1

You might be able to stretch to a 993 911.
Otherwise, an S2000 or Exige for the sports car. NSX would be excellent although a little older.
Personally, I love the Noble M12.
The M3 is the choice for practicality. But could be similar to the Monaro (I haven't driven a Monaro so can't say for sure but would expect power delivery to be similar).
