From my man at Shell.
Remember, it is not what you know but who you know
So it's only 99, isn't optimax something like 98.6? It must have other benefits to be worth it, or is it a scam to charge more? Guess we'll know soon enough...

Just filled up at the Shell garage in Swindon centre. It's still branded as Optimax but matey at the till confirmed they are putting there new advertising material up "next week". He didn't know (or wouldn't say) if the new stuff had been delivered as yet.

"Ferrari fuel for the road".

Yep, saw it this morning. Passed 4 shell garages on the A71, stopped at the first. They had V-Power £106.9. Read the brochure and it is 99 ron.

The second garage had optimax advertised, the third was in the process of changing over the sign to V-Power and the 4th was already V-Power. So it's here!!

Glad i've got a mapping in a few months. Bring it on!!

Don`t know just filled up with my first tank of v-p, It didn`t feel any different. But instead of peaking at 0.9Mpa and the dropping down to 0.85-0.8Mpa ish by 4000rpm on the boost gauge ,it stayed pretty much on 0.9Mpa all the time. But as I said I didnt really feel any difference.

Told wifey optimax has been replaced. She said it was a good job i told her, otherwise she'd of been ringing me at the station "THERE'S NO OPTIMAX"

Guess that's drilling it in for months and not talking about much else.

does anyone else get better mpg from optimax/ now v power ?

i filled up with optimax for about 2 weeks running, £102.9 litre, put £20 in, got just 180 kilometres, then few weeks later used tesco 99 ron at 98p litre, same amount, £20 yet it struggles to get to 180 kilometres in use, same amount of throttle used in all journeys, yet less optimax get s me more kph, more tesco ron == less kph in distance, how strange ?!?!!?

Filled up with V-power at Redheugh (Gateshead) earlier, well it said V-power on the pump. Only(?) 100.9p so still a damn site cheaper than BP's SUL.

Wait and see if anything improves using it. Just got 210 miles form a tank of Sainsbury's finest, which is a personal best
