What are you talking about?? Mine was a very general question, I thought a few guys might give examples of what they have done and what led them there. Instead I get idiots like you who probably achieve very little themselves and have nothing constructive add.
Or have I got it wrong and you run your own successful business?
In a way you are correct babyboy

I am gainfully employed 9-5 Mon-Friday, working for an Investment Management Company in Edinburgh that I have been with now for 14 years, this means that I can relax and let someone else deal with the stress of running a business. This also offers great security re mortgage payments etc which lets my wife go and take the self-employed route.

She runs her own telecoms training business which is considered successfull (ie. four years on and growing from strength to strength)

With a business partner she has another 2 smaller business' that they could chose to market and grow if and when the rainy day comes in telecoms. I have an interest in one of them.

Other than that I play in a band that is doing rather well thank you www.jockjohnson.co.uk and run a local panic attack, agoraphobia and depression self help group.

Instead I get idiots like you who probably achieve very little themselves and have nothing constructive add
I'll leave you to your opinion.

Back on topic (ish) - did you know that the consistency of loo roll in the UK is different to that in the USA?

Apaprently it's because in the USA the user prefers the 'scrunch' approach to using loo roll, whereas in the UK we prefer fold the paper before use. (According to a recent edition of New Scientist)

(Fold? Fold? Call me lazy, but life's too short to fold toilet paper - I'm a definite 'scruncher'!)

One day you may be glad you knew that!

i remember the local swimming pool 'tracing paper' loo roll that you could use for geography homework

that used to cut me **** to shreds on a saturday morning

barry used the 'water errosion method' (jump in the deep end of the pool) to remove any left overs

if you eat a packet of sainsburys own brand weetabix a day you dont need to use toilet roll.....there are no 'half in half outers'...they come out compact leaving no spillage

Lord Shrek....you can clean your **** but no petting in the public bath

I'll leave you to your opinion.
I think my opinion was right the first time. Your job sounds boring, your band thats 'doing quite well thank you' looks like a few badly dressed blokes playing in some pubs in Scotland As for your self help group, which of those three do you suffer from

Tbh, your wiifes business doesn't sound to interesting either.

SiPie,

Like the use of broccoli on the 'In Between Drams' CD, not enough vegtable based music about these days, the Paris Hilton single being an exception.

Wonder why it is that people who post about their problems generally get such a strong response then.

I'm going to take the out of character step of wasting some time and bothering to reply to your post

Your job sounds boring,

It can be at times, but it pays rather well.

your band thats 'doing quite well thank you' looks like a few badly dressed blokes playing in some pubs in Scotland

That's exactly what we are. However, the music seems to go down really well, and you'd be surprised to hear that even in Scotland pubs actually pay good money. None of us are serious about progressing in the world of music but do it because we enjoy it and others seem to. It's a covers band and you don't exactly see many of those appearing at Hyde Park

As for your self help group, which of those three do you suffer from

Suffered from all 3 for over a 10 year period of my life. Now recovered and hope you don't have the misfortune of suffering similar in your life.

Tbh, your wiifes business doesn't sound to interesting either

She seems to find it interesting and challenging at times, which is all that matters. Her other 2 are more interesting and less stress, but obviously pay a bit less due to the hours and effort she directs towards them at present.

Will this mean that you will follow in due course with such classics as:

Which logo should I use?
Who should I employ?
Which premises to buy?
Which distributor to use?

In other words.....does anyone that has to ask such a stupid question deserve to succeed in running their own business Quote from SiPie

Si I'm very happy that you live such a well balanced, financially and socially rewarding life. The question is does that give you the right to imply I'm some kind of retard because I asked a simple question?

You seem to think its all right to call me stupid because you have a well paid job, dress badly, sing broccoli based music in scottish pubs and used to be scared of open spaces
