Belkin routers have suffered from dropping the internet signal for a while, its a manufacturing problem Belkin are aware of and they made that info publicly available. Not sure if they have sorted by now. The only way to cure it was to switch the router off and back on again.

My draytek was a great piece of kit also, to be honest most other makes (including netgear) would be a better bet than belkin

It is connected to my Blueyonder cable modem and to my PC by network cable. I can now use my laptop all around the house or garden and still use the internet.
Very easy to set up too.

I'll second that, very good bits of kit, easy to use but if you dig deeper you get loads more features. Also lots of regular updates.

Another vote on the Draytek vigor front. I've had mine for 3 years now and the only issue I had was the power supply packed up. Its never dropped the connection on me or played silly buggers.
Getting a new router now. A draytek wireless

after 2 calls to netgear, tech support, which is bl**dy hard work at the best of times, ive got the connections back, the jurys out on that one though.
no indication from NG on what the fault was, there customer support leaves a lot to be desired, with a lot of stock answers being fired out!!
still we shall see how it goes
