I'm not sure why I can't see Jacko's reply on here but I can see it in email notification and threads posted under his username

Definitely a Marmite car.
I bought a 500 a couple of months ago.
I love it

How are you finding, am loving this, its fast for a big lump, well by my standards, would murder my 350Z in a straight line, even handles quite tidily when the suspension is firmed up with the button.

I love the old barge. Nice comfy, well spec'd. Not really sure on the mpg at the moment but last time I looked after doing a motorway cruise it was 26mpg I think it was about 2500 rpm or something like that doing 85mph. I had an E60 530i before this and it kicks that out of the way all of the time. One thing I don't like is the parktronic - The BM'er version takes 10/10 for that all day long in comparison. Oh and the bluetooth is Jurassic but I don't use that anyway. My transcend camera is up alongside the rear view mirror as well happily recording some of lifes idiots.
Mine is black with brown interior - it's not actually brown but more of a darker cream/beige and with 19" AMG's and slightly tinted windows but not limo black. Handling is great and you're right, the airmatic sports setting 2 gices you greater handling when you need it and an float on air ride when your wafting along.

I averaged 28 MPG on a 350 mile or so round trip to Bath and back to pick the middle lad up, slow down and quite a bit faster up, few forays into faster than I would usually go and god how it pulls from higher speed is impressive, the ride is amazing on Comfort and even manages to be fun in Sport 2, day to day am averaging about 20 mpg and I dont care, its properly enjoyable, fuel is cheap at the moment.
Issues, well I get an oily waft when I have kicked the **** out of it which is apparently a half hour job and 15 or 20 quid for some cam end blanking plates, passenger mirror doesnt work but how often do you ever move that.
Cant believe I only paid seven grand for this slice of V8 loveliness.

I haven't had a chance to use mine as I've been sunning it up in the Caribbean for the last month Down side it it wouldn't start and since jumping it, it's come up with some battery error message. Full of man flu at the moment so it can wait for now.
Still love the looks of it and it grows on me more each time I see it

I've been watching the mpg, more out of curiosity than anything else. Averaging 29.9mpg on a run and that's doing anywhere between 50mph roadwork limits to my normal 80mph'ish cruise. Great for a big engined petrol car. Easy to get to single figures when you want to. It just pulls and pulls and pulls when you want it to.
Only downside in 6 months is having to replace both batteries and a noisy idle pulley. I've got a parking sensor out - which for some dumb reason - knocks the whole system out

Well, its still behaving itself, mpg is pretty steady at about 20 mpg average but I dont do many long runs.
Had an oil leak, cant remember if I mentione dit but was from two blanking plugs on the back of the engine, sorted for £14.
Gave it a machine polish and proper clean today, looks spot on, going to refurb a couple of the wheels tomorrow.
Fancy a 55 or 63 next
