I'm in the same boat. Ordered this morning. But only got the protx mail telling me I'm over £200 in debt

Hoping to get something tomorrow.

Oooops - I seemed to have slipped whilst on the gp2x.co.uk site also....

...couldn't resist one to take on holiday with me in a few weeks.

A couple of 2GB SD cards and some 2800mah batteries from Ebay as well. Should be good for some serious game/movie action!

jpor, drop them an email if you are desperate for an update. They do seem quite quick to come back with info, although mine was mainly to do with having to pay a little more money for the postage and instigated by them, but they got back straight away with an answer on the colour for me

of despatch email from us on the day it is sent and it will arrive
before 1pm the following day.

Sorry for the additional delay.

Looks like they have a delay in shipment.

Oh well looks like I will have to wait until next week.

Well heres a twist to the on-going tale. Just received this e-mail:

Hi,

Just to keep you up to date, we now expect to ship your order on
Friday/Monday. You will receive a confirmation of shipping email on
the
day your order is despatched.

Really sorry for the delay but your order will be despatched the same
day we receive the GP2X Mk2 consoles.

Kind regards
Jacquelyn

There maybe hope.

Nice one jpor I've not heard anything more than what you guys have. My broadband is currently being upgraded at home which left me with no net access from Friday 19th so I had no idea what the status was. It was still pants last night

Still, I'm away for 2 days from tomorrow so hopefully it might have turned up by the time I get back! Can't play with it until I've finished laying a floor in the lounge and dining room though Will be a good reward at the end if it arrives before then

According to the GP2X forums, their web hosting provider has been down nearly all day and they haven't had any access to email, so don't expect a reply soon. The thread did also say however that they are starting to ship the consoles out, so hopefully we'll all have them sent soon...

Thanks for the Info Iain. Just been looking through that link. Seems to be quite a few people who have ordered.

Last look at my e-mail 5:05PM. Nothing has come through to say it's been despatched. Oh well....

Nothing here yet either. They do seem to be very busy, but it is frustrating isn't it....

Just spoken to them....

...and they're trying to do what they can to ship as quickly as possible.

Their first shipment was around 600 units, but they're coming to them today, tomorrow and Thursday - and they'll be shipping them out as quickly as they come in.

Rest assured that they have enough coming in to satisfy all current orders, though it sounds as if they're having to take a lot of time out to answer hundreds of emails and pick up the phone to lots of "Where is my GP2X?" calls.

"Please tell everyone that we're getting them in and out as quickly as possible, and you WILL get an email on the day it ships!" - were her closing words.

So - hang on in there, and let's hear it when those confirmation emails start coming in!

Thanks for that, I'll not start to get excited then as Iain got his order in before me.

Update on gp2x.co.uk:

"May 23rd: We were having server trouble yesterday (as most of you know) so any e-mails sent that havent received a reply, please re-send. We are shipping orders as quickly as possible, please bear with us."

Still no sign of a damn email though.... but at least my 2GB SD cards haven't arrived yet, so in a way it's good that I don't have the thing in my hands with fully charged 2800mAh AAs in it but no SD.

Iain - where abouts in Swindon are you? You ordered yours before me, so I'll be round if you get yours first!

Thanks for the updates guys

It's comforting for me to know mine isn't sat at home waiting for me, but like Shades, I too have some batteries but no SD card delivered yet!!!! I've also still not finished laying the floor so I won't be allowed on it until that's done, eta on that is end of Saturday at the latest, so I should still get Sunday and Mondaty to play (provided it arrives!)

Yes, I noticed - did some 'whois' digging...

I'm in Abbeymeads, just round the corner from the Toby, so not a million miles away - or at least it won't be if you get yours first!

...and still no damn email, which I guess writes tomorrow off... Which is good, as I'm in Glasgow for the day.

As long as it's here for the weekend!
