Looks like the right move for anyone who's considering buying and hacking a PSP as it plays old, free games and downloaded movies. The screen is the wrong shape, but the high res TV output is a nice touch.

I've got one on order at the moment. I'll let you know what it's like when it arrives
It'll be interesting to see if I use it any more than my psp, which has a rather large coating of dust on it at the moment (where are the decent games? )

How long have you had one on order for
I'll give you first impressions when it arrives (although I hear they're in short supply, so it might be a little while )

LOL I was expecting you to say about 2 months
We're off on hols middle of July so was contemplating getting one to stem flight boredom. Been reading that you need a particular romset version for MAME, and it sounds like it's quite an old one

Anyway. Where have yo ordered one from? And is it a black or a white coloured version you will be receiving?
Seriously thinking of getting one of these, but not sure to order from gp2x.co.uk

MkII? Didn't know there was a MkII....is there a list of all the differences (to cover your etc.?).
I've got disposable income for one of these and I'm only a smidge away from ordering one!
I'm quite tempted to see what can be written for one of these. Would be nice to do some home dev that was interesting

I was a big user of the GP32.
The early 2x's had various firmware issues, but there has since been an update which has addressed this.
I'm going to go for one.

It'll be the new MkII version with improved screen, joystick etc. Not sure about the colour though. I guess I'll find out in a couple of days (I don't really care)...

Well that's me 200 quid lighter
In the end went for:
GP2X, Case, PSU, TV Cable ( ~ £157 )
From fleabay:
4 x 2800 NiMH batteries ( £6.50 )
2 GB SanDisk SD Card ( ~ £37 )
Must curb impulse buying in future......

LOL I think it has something to do with a) the bank balance and b) the missus
The good news is, they don't do white ones I specifically asked for a black one (after they emailed me because I'd selected the wrong postage ) and I got an email back pretty much straight away saying the white were pre-production so all of them are gametastic black

Nope, I just got the protx one. The only way I knew that I should get mine by the end of the week was because I sent them an email (with the order ref number) asking how long I was likely to have to wait...
So have you ordered one as well now Pete?
