I downloaded the Speed Pack the Evo's a good car if you like the slow ones, plus it grips.

 

After 20ish laps I've got a 56.44
There is deffo a 55 in me but hooking up the perfect lap (and getting the fecking chicane right!) is proving mighty difficult!

Great selection of track by them though. Very challenging and no room for people to 'cheat' like they to at the Nurburg test track

 

The only problem i can see is using 1 track 1 car there must be a perfect run, if 100 people get the identical exact time there will be no chance on the leaderboard, hence we must get it sooner rather than last minute.

Best tonight is 56.23 at least its going in the right direction, doesnt help i've had a bottle of wine

I think i've cracked (in theory) the chicane, i'll try it tomorrow when i'm in better condition, if you have a reasonable run up on your previous go you should hit the chicane at around 126mph, you need to be on the right hand side of the track and when you are level (I use hood view) with the first blue advertising board on the right let go of the accelerator and hit hard left, followed by hard right and hit accelerate again, this should get you through at about 120mph.

As for 20 laps, at just under a minute a lap I think i've done about 180 tonight damn frustrating when you **** up the chicane and have to drive around the track knowing its pointless

 

LOL agree about doing a 'shame' lap when you've fecked up the chicane!

I've been trying easing off the accellerator rather than braking on a few of the corners, hence my improvement in lap time.

Having thought about it, I was on there a good 45 mins so as you say, a minute a lap means a few more than 20!

 

Argh, I've just got 56.03, if only I could get 55 may give me some new hope.

Qualifying is now 53.63

 

Had a break from it yesterday. Finally concentrated on getting to Rank 1 in solo racing.
I HATE cone challenges! the differences between Gold and Plat are massive!

I took a look at Platinum cone's and thought how the hell do you score that, now i've got 50-80k kudos quite easily.

It's all about the multiplier, you need to hopefully complete the challenge in one go, as in keep the multiplier going. There's usually plenty of time so take it slow and in between cones do a little slide or something just to keep the multiplier going you should strive to cross the line with 0 points, then it will tot up your score and give you 50k+

Oh and the car that makes life easier is the RUF Concept (given to you on Rank 1)

If you watch the ghost's the guys with 100K+ do donuts and all sorts.



I need a break from pgr for a bit i've got the tourny track burnt on my retina's (even worse than when I hammered Geo Wars)

 

Just brought the RUF concept but haven't driven it yet. Will give it a go later on My trouble is keeping the multiplier going, invaribly I'll bin it into a barrier or smack a cone

 

Don't worry about missing cones you dont need them all, if you think you can't make it go around it

 

I always thought you'd get a massive bonus if you go through all of them though? never managed it though so couldn't tell you if it's true

Nah the cones just give you 25 Kudos + 1x multiplier. So when you've finished you should only have 1k-1.5k but multiplied by 50 or so should give you plenty of points.

You can still get the platinum's without doing a start to finish perfect race. As in you can get atleast half way and tot up 20-25k then the next half for same again so dont worry about getting it perfect.

The key is if you think you are going to hit a barrier or hit a cone and you're doing well in multipliers then bail out and brake, as long as you dont crash it will add your score to date.

In theory you could complete it without passing a single cone if you can pull enough combo's off to get the kudos.

Well done mate , I was kinda hoping 55 would shoot up a bit, oh well, 54's the next target.

 

and I've just got 29k kudos in a 24k target Cone Challenge

I'm gonna struggle with achieving a lap in the 54's though.

Can we download the fastest laps as ghosts?

 

Dont think so, there's a Gallardo SE car in the top 10 on Race against the clock which you can ghost but it's a slightly faster car

Went to do an online career race on Nordschleife last night and after 5 minutes waiting with 2 other drivers we all gave in. I then got an invite to play from one of them and ended up in a lobby of 8 where 4 of them had qualified inside the top 64.

Needless to say I got spanked a couple of times but didn't do too badly once I'd got to grips with a Class E car round the ring - managed to beat 2 of them after that and was only 6 secs behind the winner so that made me happy.
