there is a new tournament to play. first you have to qualify and get in the top 64. this is very hard. at the moment my best is a 55.00 and that makes me 357th first place is 54.03 so it is very tight.
go to gotham career -tounaments. good luck everyone. you will need it.
ps. to get my time i had to go through the chicane near the start flat out.

My best so far is 59seconds and around 1850-1900 position. I dropped around 500 places in about 30 seconds

Last I looked 54:14 was a qualifying score, you can't be far off. It's good to see we are beating the Asian and American leaderboards

qualify last night was 53.85 - best for me so far is 56.15 but I do know I can go quicker so at least there's some consolation and I was hampered by a toddler walking in front of the telly...

and the dog ate my controller etc etc...

Anyone else downloaded the new cars? I've only bothered with the free Aston. Prefer the slower cars anyway.

Download the speed pack - its all the cars, but a bit strange that the DL size of all of them is the same size as just 1. It's 400 points rather than 660.

It is frustrating, i've just shaved 2seconds off my time and got 56.2 i'm still in the 2000s

Bizarre have messed up with this because you can't play them online against people who don't have the pack, they should of included the download in with the upgrade patch so everybody has the cars then let you unlock them via the marketplace points

I thing the tournament car is the standard Gallardo which comes with the game and not the SE 2005 included in the pack. They've kinda got to use the lamboghini as the winner gets to see the Lamboghini factory.

I keep shaving time of my lap and end up falling lower and lower, doesnt help with the European leaderboard having the best drivers

How are you taking that first chicane? I've tried full bore but end up whacking the barrier 9 times out of 10.
And I keep missing at least one apex cause of the contrast between the sunny areas and the shade (need a better TV )

Everytime I take the chicane at good speed I get so excited that I mess the next bend up

Usually around 106mph if i can, I got 115+ once

I read the top blokes are taking it at 120.

It's a hard habit to break not to try and avoid the wall when you are approaching it at 120mph or to keep off the brake, but you do actually need to turn in to the wall on the right to make it around the chicane.

I chicken out and hit the brakes, then it all goes pear shaped

Cool!!!

I've written down the split times so I can gauge how well I am doing in the lap.
Taking that first chicane well can make 1.5-2 seconds difference straight off.

I'm in the 55's i have been following the fastest ghost in the worl around the track, i'm not consitent enough to really start attacking quicker times.

I keep smacking barriers, etc.

I do however find it easier to improve when following a ghost, should see some improvment. Does anyone know when the cut off period for qualifying is?
