well im relativly new here and i must say i enjoy the site
due to its size it must be very difficult to moderate, but i dont think too bad a job is done really. you will always have members come and go, and this kind of affects the "mood" of the site..........or you get newbies like myself posting threads that have been covered a million times, and putting them in the wrong places (sorry to the mods ). but i wouldnt say its a site gone to the dogs
one big difference i have noticed here is the lack of "bullying" of newbies that i have seen (even experienced) on other sites, the newbies seemed to be welcomed with open arms
if i was going to offer a suggestion it would be this.......how about when people sign up they get sent an email that basically guides them around the site? tells them step by step how to search problems, how to upload pics of your car, how to post in the right areas etc this would help to sort the prob of ones posting the same problem/question that has been covered many times or not using the search engine correctly and so on. i know it took me a while to "know my way around the site" and im sure others have/did feel the same.
all in all its a decent site, yes we will always have the "trolls" as they are called and there will always be the 14yr old spotty teenagers with nothing better to do than join a site and cause loads of grief, but why should we let this be too much of a problem for us who really have a passion for the great impreza? lets make the most of the site and make it better ourselves!!!

I'm not sure 'Gone to the Dogs' is the right term. Some areas of the site have become unusable unless your IQ is less than 10. 'Other Marques' for example, is full of rubbish threads that have the same idiots posting the same garbage over and over. It may be because it attracts 'Other Types'.
I have posted before about the racist, anti gay and abusive comments found in many of the threads which let the site down with people not being banned quick enough. There should be no warnings, just a loss of your account.
Some areas are still very good. Technical etc.
