BOLLOCKS!!!!!, i'm seventy hours in to my game.
This is the fix for Swampy cave (as promised)
1. Press the ` key to bring down the console.
2. Type "setstage fgc10swamp 40"
This will bring up the message informing you that the evidence has been found and allow you to complete the quest.

One suggested fix for existing games on XBox360, which sometimes (but not always) works: leave the cave, and play the game normally for at least three game days. Enter other caves/mines etc, but NOT the one you are interested in. Better yet, make that at least five game days. The cave should reset, and now you can go back. It might have been repopulated and if you are lucky the body may be back. While you are waiting it might be worth talking to the various other people involved in the quest, both at the FG and in HW.

Well it was a dramatic week, i knocked my 360 while oblivion was on (currently at 90hrs playtime) and it destroyed my disc. Anyways sent it off to discz for repair and it came back like brand new (highly recommend them)
Just finished it tonight, 100% complete (well 360achievement wise anyway) done all the guilds, including the dark brotherhood and Arena and of course the main quest
didnt think i'd say this but it's a truly engrosing quality game that keeps you addicted from the off.
Anyways 94 hrs of my life reserved for Oblivion and I fear I may carry on and do the side quests

Just started again as a wizard, only quest I did not manage to finish was the daedric quest where you have to be murdered by the cursed axe, I dropped the axe in an oblivion gate

I have no idea what the XPox achievements are (beyond the general principle) as I use proper hardware. But yes, you can play as long as you want - that's the beauty of Elder Scrolls games. The gates are now all closed and the Mythic Dawn gone, but otherwise it's business as usual.
